A Grande Prairie parent, Alice Michael Attwood, 35, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault following a Feb. 19 incident that left their two children with knife wounds and requiring immediate medical aid.
A self-described transgender Canadian man allegedly slashed two young children and posted on social media about the incident after he was granted release.
Michael Attwood, 35, who uses the name “Alice,” was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing the two young children in Grande Prairie, Alberta, on Feb. 19, according to a report from Global News in Canada.
The alleged assailant appeared before a Justice of the Peace but was released on conditions until his next court date on March 13.
A seven-year-old sustained minor wounds from the knife, while an eight-year-old endured severe damage to the esophagus and was hospitalized.
That child remains at Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary with a severed esophagus and will have to eat from a feeding tube for months, according to a report from Western Standard, a conservative news outlet in Canada.
The outlet reported that Attwood, who towers at 6 feet 7 inches while weighing 250 pounds, was at first held under supervision in a psychiatric ward, but was released some 26 hours later. Although this information was purged after the outlet’s initial posting due to a Canadian publication ban, an archived version of the website still has the details.
Attwood also posted several haunting statuses on social media.
One included a selfie, along with the caption, “I’m pretty sure I met a queen in emergency tonight. She was so beautiful. And I just had these ratty old clothes on.”

“For obvious reasons I’m going to sit and stay silent on the locally viral rumours going around. I understand people’s upset (trust it’s not as high as my own) and I’m going to answer for what I did,” Attwood wrote.
“When I can see the picture more clearly then I will be here to hold myself accountable as well. It’s just … not the right time for that,” he continued.
Attwood continued to make the horrific attack about himself.
“I need to focus on my mental health and finding the WHY to this happening … which means not being online.”
Attwood describes himself as a spiritual and life coach, according to the Western Standard.
The outlet reported that he is a Usui Holy Fire III Reiki practitioner, as well as an oracle reader and quantum healing hypnosis technique student.
Miller explained that the confrontation stemmed from Zelenskyy’s failure to show proper appreciation for America’s substantial support of Ukraine. “The only reason that Zelenskyy has a country, that Zelenskyy is in power, is because of the United States,” Miller asserted.
During the Oval Office meeting, tension erupted when Zelenskyy suggested that America would “feel it in the future” if support for Ukraine waned, prompting Trump to erupt: “You don’t know that. You don’t know that. Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel. We’re trying to solve a problem. Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel.”
Miller highlighted Americans’ economic sacrifices in the Ukraine conflict: “Americans have suffered economically funding this war now for years, American security has been degraded, our stockpiles depleted, our ability to project power in other regions of the world negatively affected to protect and defend Ukraine.”
The confrontation reached a boiling point when Trump accused Zelenskyy of “gambling with World War III” and Vance repeatedly demanded that the Ukrainian leader express gratitude.
“He couldn’t even say thank you. Just couldn’t say thank you. Thank you, America,” Miller said.
One of the most contentious moments came when Zelenskyy appeared to resist Trump’s calls for an immediate ceasefire. “He repeatedly rejected President Trump’s statement that we should pursue a ceasefire,” Miller noted. “How could you reject a ceasefire?”
“And, you know, he kept saying, Europe’s doing so much more than us,” Miller added. “Well, then what do you need us for?”

In retrospect, it is easy to see that at the 19 minute mark, after one reporter asked Zelenskyy why he didn't wear a suit, Zelenskyy seemed to take the question as an insult, and started on a trajectory of becoming more and more insolent from thereonward.
Having watched short edits of this Press Conference, I went believed Vance and Trump had planned out a strategy to put Zelenskyy in his place.
Having watched the whole thing, I no longer believe that. Trump was feeling triumphant at the outset, feeling they had a deal. He was proud.
But it became glaringly obvious, just after the 26 minute mark, that Zelenskyy was not focused on the deal at hand.
Instead, he was focused on rehashing the history of Putin's thoughts and feelings about Ukraine, and Putin's desire to re-establish the territory of the Soviet Union.
While I might agree with Zelenskyy on these points, this Press Conference was neither the time, nor the place.
Just after the 27 minute mark, Zelenskyy declared something so unrealistic and pathetically naive that he reveals he possesses the worldview of a child. He said this:
"This is the Rule of War during all the centuries, all the history, this is the Rule Of War: Who began (the war), those pay (they pay for the damages caused by the war)."
No, that's not the rule of war. That's the rule of courts maybe, but not war.
Unfortunately, the rule of war is MIGHT IS RIGHT. The winner wins, and the loser pays.
After making this statement, Zelenskyy gradually goes off the rails, and Trump clearly realizes this isn't going to work.
