How ridiculous is the Obamacare number using shopping cart selection as a ‘sale’?

It counts ME.

Last night WaPo described how the Obama Admin will be counting as enrollment anyone who got to the actual plans and clicked on one as a choice from several presented (catastrophic, bronze, silver, gold from any supplier) and then never paid. You are expected to pay the first month’s premium, just like real life, SANS tax credit, or tax credit amount committed to you in some sort of audit proof manner.

Once I saw that point. I simply stopped. I have not signed in since.

I have spent approximately 80 man hours since 10/1 researching, what, how, how much, who and when.

After creating a second ‘faux’ account after changes were made around 10/28 I was able to view the actual plans, and selected by comparison a plan which was the closest to the one I had previously.

The NAMED premium was DOUBLE what I could have gotten. (The REAL premium was, according to the state site, >3.5 times that number). The policy itself in terms of what was covered was SIMILAR, but not better, but with higher deductibles, and out of pocket costs. Platinum plans which seemed closer to the plans I had are NOT available here.

The doctor network was the same, but I chose the ONLY plan available from one of the ONLY 2 choices we have which covered doctors I have used. The other company offers NO out of network coverage, and only about 40% of doctors locally, nothing out of state. Thus the idea that increased competition was a result of Ocare is a farce. Previously we had 4 or 5 different vendors depending on when you checked.

Therefore, there is NO affordable care for me.

There is NO better plan for me.

The prices are so high, that I can legally opt out (though, of course, the forms on line and on paper are NOT available)

But I am counted as an Obamacare enrollee.

So whatever the number is later this week? 49,950?

How many others are like me?

How often do you shop on line, pick a product then stop and think, never press SUBMIT ORDER and simply forget about it all later because the cash is more important right then?

Our govt is in very poor hands. The question is, are there any better ones?

They should simply STAY OUT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
