Submachine gun fired at police officers in north-west London

Three police officers escaped injury when a submachine gun was fired as they carried out inquiries. 
At least 14 shots were discharged from the semi-automatic weapon, damaging an unmarked police vehicle. 
The Metropolitan police has launched a manhunt after the incident in Willesden, north-west London. 
A spokesman said: “The unmarked car was parked in Mitchell Way NW10 in the early hours of Saturday 24 October as three plain clothes officers were carrying out inquiries. 
“Two of the officers were outside of the car, while the third remained inside. At approximately 00.25hrs a semi-automatic firearm was discharged in the vicinity, causing damage to the front of the car and to surrounding street furniture. 
“It has been established that at least 14 shots were fired during the incident – the weapon used was a submachine gun.” 
No one was injured ...

Must be some mistake. Guns are outlawed in the UK.

This is actually good. It will finally raise awareness of what is happening among the morons. Not here, of course, because we are too wise for that, but maybe Europe will start some target practice ...
