Is The Left Satanic?

This is a comment from an Anonymous commenter on a mystical site I read called The Secret Sun. The topic of the site is how the Archetypes of Mythology play out in our modern world. The question the site deals with is this: Are the events of our time influenced by the ancient Pagan gods. I am interested in the site from both the perspective of a writer and appreciator of Creative Fiction, and as a believing Christian. The site does not come down on the right or left side of the political spectrum because that is not within it's interest. I find the comment particularly interesting because of that fact:

I'm not even religious, but it's hard to deny that there is some kind of Satanic influence on today's "progressives", who apparently want to invert all traditional, common-sense human values and identities--inversion being the essence of the Satanic. These people are frightening.
