The Fox and the Henhouse

The Berlin newspaper Tagesspiegel reports that the police in Berlin intends to leave the trodden paths of crime fighting and to lead back those who went astray with the help of their mosques.

According to Koschny's [head of the crime fighting unit at Berlin's Polizeidirektion 5] plans, the police will ask about their religious background as well and find out what mosque the parents attend for prayer. Those information will then be passed on to the imams and prayer leaders who are then supposed to influence the delinquents and there parents to explain to them that crimes are not compliant with Islam.
