Israeli defense systems group wins its third contract with US ground forces since beginning of 2009; will supply American Military with state of the art electro-optic system via subsidiary Fraser-Volpe

Israel's ITL Optronics Ltd. announced it was awarded yet another US Military contract, this time $9.9 million worth.
ITL is a multi-disciplinary defense systems group specializing in advanced solutions for land-based military and civilian defense and security.
The contract would be carried out by ITL's subsidiary Fraser-Volpe LLC, which will provide the US ground forces with electro-optical systems, to be delivered in 2009 and 2010.
ITL has recently won two other US military contracts worth a combined $22.2 million.
Under the contracts, Fraser-Volpe will supply the US military with an advanced, lightweight, electro-optic system, which integrates 3rd generation thermal imaging, fully eye-safe laser rangefinder up to six miles, high-resolution CMOS day camera, a built-in GPS, a digital compass and an inclinometer.

Israeli optics and avionics have kept the F-15, F-16, and F-18 viable and deadly decades after their designated sell-by dates.
