Hawaii Declares Obama Birth Certificate Real, Again

Monday, July 27, 2009 10:10 PM

HONOLULU -- State officials again are confirming that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.

Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said Monday she has seen the original birth records that verify Obama was born in Hawaii and is a "natural-born American citizen."

Fukino made the announcement in hopes of ending any lingering rumors about Obama's citizenship. She issued a similar press release Oct. 31.

State law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest.

Some Obama critics claim he is ineligible to be president, arguing he was not born in the U.S., as the Constitution requires. They have challenged his citizenship in court.

Not at all surprised at the intensive defense mode against the outcry over Obama's long form birth certificate.

Paul Hollrah believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question:
What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York,
Jakarta, and Karachi in 1981?

So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later?

And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York, Jakarta, and Karachi, what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration?

The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers. It makes the debate over Obama’s citizenship a rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A: Yes, by his own admission.

Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities:
1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport,
2) He traveled with a British passport, see Obama's Fact Check for details or
3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.

Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible.
Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department’s “no travel ” list in 1981

Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.

If he were traveling with a British passport that would
provide proof that he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims.
And if he were traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held,British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.
Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a “natural born” American citizen between 1981 and 2008.

Obama is everything the framers of the Constitution were trying to avoid for us.
Ties to Kenya, ties to Indonesia, ties to Pakistan, and ties to Britain.
That is exactly why the framers put the natural born citizen clause in our Constitution.
Chief Justice Jay specifically referred to the natural born citizen to be inserted in Article II specifically for our U.S. Armed Forces:
John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the United States, wrote to George Washington on July 25, 1787:
“Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American Army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen.”
There was no debate before members of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 and the natural-born citizen qualification for the office of the Presidency was introduced by the drafting Committee of Eleven, and then adopted.
“No person, except a natural born citizen, or a citizen at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be President.

Why do you think they needed to grandfather themselves in?
All the framers except one, Alexander Hamilton, were born in the Colonies. Yet they weren’t qualified with the natural born citizen clause inserted in Article II Section I of the Constitution.
They were also British Subjects or had other foreign allegiances which would have disqualified them without the grandfather clause, OR A CITIZEN AT THE TIME OF THE ADOPTION OF THIS CONSTITUTION.
They did not want future generational Presidents to have any, and I repeat ANY, foreign influence in the Oval Office. They wanted a citizen completely devoted to the nation to be Commander and Chief.
That is why to be a natural born citizen, you have to be born to two American citizens at the time of your birth in the jurisdiction of the United States.
Both parents have to be naturalized before you are born, hence The term natural born.

Barack”s father was a British subject at the time of his birth which gave Obama citizenship to Britain.

Anonymous,
According to what I have read, it is not true that it was illegal for Americans to travel to Pakistan in 1981.

Do you have any links which prove it was?

One more thing, then I’m done.

During the election, then Senator Obama published a statement at his website "Fact Check" (same link as above) which said that his birth status was “governed” by the British Nationality Act of 1948. Can you please tell the American people how a natural born citizen of the United States can be governed – at birth – by British law?
Thomas Jefferson 1777 “We can say with confidence that a natural born citizen of the U.S. means those persons born whose father the U.S. already has an established jurisdiction over, i.e. born to father’s who are themselves citizens of the U.S.”

Rep. John Bingham of Ohio, considered the father of the Fourteenth Amendment (which is the citizenship and naturalization Amendment), confirms the understanding and construction the framers used in regards to birthright and jurisdiction while speaking on civil rights of citizens in the House on March 9, 1866:

[I] find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen…[6]
Bingham said this just months before co-sponsoring the 14TH Amendment.

The Constitution may not define what the founding fathers took for granted everyone would always know, but they certainly defined it in Federalist papers and other writings. And there is an enormous amount of historical precedent too.

Both of your parents have to be citizens at your birth and you have to be born in the jurisdiction of the United States to be a natural born citizen.
Barack’s father was not an American citizen therefore Barack is not a natural born citizen. He is a native born citizen which does not qualify him under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States to be President of the United States.

In 1981, there was an “advisory” against travel there during that specific timeframe. Two entirely different things of course.

However, it’s been alleged but not publicly substantiated (although, one or more of the eligibility lawyers may have the docs), that it was Pakistan who would have refused entry into their country…someone carrying a U.S. passport.

Wanting to see the birth certificate to prove that he is eligible to be POTUS isn't a tangible interest?????

I agree that the "birthers" have been unfairly tarred with the "crazy" brush.

The meaning of the term "natural born" has not been completely settled - I think that NYT article you posted a few weeks ago from the time during the campaign gave a bit of history on that.

SO - on the one hand, he may not be "natural born" even if his mom was in Hawaii at the time of his birth.

BUT - on the other hand, he is deliberately allowing this to go on, I think, because it makes much of the right look loony and drains resources from opposing the OBVIOUSLY really bad stuff his admin. wants to do.

And I do agree with Anon above - the "natural born" phrase was included to ensure, as much as one can about these things, that our executive does not have divided loyalties.

And, Obama Nation, last time I checked, it seems that the only people with real "standing" (per the courts) to request he prove his "natural born" status (let's quit calling it "citizenship." It confuses the issue), is someone who ran against him.

So I don't understand why Alan Keyes' suit did not go farther.

Oh, and those who serve under a CIC. They want to know he is legit so that their obedience to orders cannot be questioned on the basis that the CIC was not actually entitled to give the orders.

God - is it 5 o'clock yet? I need that beer if BHO doesn't want it.
