Sick of the absolute excuses .. they should have sent every family a check instead

Obama says stimulus headed off depression

WASHINGTON

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Wednesday a $787 billion stimulus program helped the United States avoid dipping into an economic depression.

Obama launched a sweeping effort to convince skeptical Americans that the stimulus has been beneficial, saying it had created or saved 2 million jobs and attacking Republican critics who doubt its effectiveness.

There are 300,000,000 americans and approximately 75 million households. Given the fact of the BIG FEAR that was sold to us was that the banks would fail and the economy would freeze, and credit lines that supported payrolls die etc., let's take a look at what would have happened if the govt had taken the $787 billion and just sent it to us. Each household would have received $10,740 dollars.

On that day where would that money have gone?

DEPOSITED.

WHERE?

What would those far behind in mortgages have done? Where would that money have gone?

People are not spending out of fear. If that is so where would the money be left?

If solvent families suddenly had a $10,000 cash cushion, would they have bought a FEW THINGS?

Next time you hear that the federal govt is here to HELP YOU, think about what they did with money they didn't have and thus borrowed, and used software to create on Ben Bernanke's desk.

Think about whose fear they addressed? Not the citizens ... but in obedience to Obama's SLAVERY to the needs and fears of the LARGE, TOO BIG TO FAIL, INSTITUTIONS who can deliver campaign cash and votes.

GM, UAW, AFSCME, SEIU, Goldman, Morgan,..... and the republicans are just SLIGHTLY better.

simpsons-mob-torches.jpgBut we all recognize this solution above is an utter fantasy. Because we recognize something about our govt today that is below the level of words and expression.

Anger in the fields, and on the block.

Anger on the lakes and in the offices.

Anger on the lawn tractors and in the cereal aisle.

Anger in the waves of grain and at the copier.

Anger in America.

Notice is being given. Do they notice? Every poll is a ringing bell
