The EPA has banned the production and sale of the types of stoves used by about 80 percent of those with such stoves. The regulations limit the amount of “airborne fine-particle matter” to 12 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The current EPA regulations allow for 15 micrograms in the same amount of air space.

Most of the wood stoves currently nestled inside cabins and homes from coast-to-coast don’t meet the new environmental standard. The EPA launched a “Burn Wise” website to help convince the public that the new regulations were needed.Trading in an old stove for a newer stove isn’t allowed.Read the full story here.

JHC! People have been burning wood for nearly as long as humans have been on earth.

These people need to get a life so they can leave everyone else's life the fuck alone.

Good heavens! Go to the source and read the comments after the article. The Soros funded leftard talking points are all over it like pecker tracks on a whore's bedsheet.

Well, well, well. Some of those who have turned apathetic ears to all the alarms I've been sounding are going to be upset. So many of these people I've been dealing with have wood-burning stoves -- for the fashion statement and for financial reasons.

And...I know of one family (not with deaf ears) that heats with only wood-burning stoves. No central heating!

You might be surprised how many are in that situation in certain parts of the United States.

Epa has a wood-burning stove. I think that's his main source of home-heating, if I recall correctly.

This comes from the same hyper environmentalist crowd whose attitude towards forest fires is "let it burn."

Pasto,
There ya go!

First, the wood-burning stoves, then the fireplaces. Unless the latter are in some posh resort.

BTW, where we live there isn't a SINGLE HOME I KNOW OF without a wood stove in use, and more than half heat EXCLUSIVELY by wood. Maybe as high as 80% or more.

When the local govts administer heat aid... it is almost exclusively WOOD.

Think about what that says for a moment.

I frankly believe that, just like many other federal 'ideas' around here, they will be IGNORED.

They DON'T EXIST.

In many, many ways.

Washington just ISN'T THERE
