This is because they are liars and want nothing to do with any of it.

Imagine how much more culturally "enriched" Martha's Vineyard would have been had they allowed them to set up camps and live on the streets, using them as an open bathroom, for weeks and months. They might have even gotten the recipe for tamales!
El Paso and other border towns have been "enriched" like this, against their wills, for years. Though strangely CNN doesn't give Texans any glowing coverage about their "enrichment."

The Venezuelan freeloaders are now living on the Cape in the off-season. People around here spend a lot of money to do that permanently. Joint Base consists of Cape Edwards, Otis Air Force Base, and the Coast Guard. They couldn't be safer if they tried. They are also sharing space with the MA military cemetery, and that muttering they hear is my father complaining to my mother about the new neighbors; they are buried there as my dad was US Army WWII and Korea.
