Putin’s Russia seems to have finally launched its bona fide invasion of Ukraine. And many righteously indignant American lawmakers will surely be eager to try to stop Russia (not at any cost), or at least punish it for doing something reprehensible. Ukraine is a sovereign country, and invading sovereign countries is bad (you know, unless you are the United States).

So that had me thinking about whether or not it MATTERS what the reasons are you are invading.
It does to those in the nation DOING the invading surely. But who cares?
It would have mattered to the Tutsis in 1994 if we had invaded the nation of Rwanda to end genocide, wouldn’t it.
It mattered to the Bosnians when we lead the UN into that sickness and bombed Serbians with aluminum foil shreds obliterating their electrical stations, among other standard sundries
And Iraq? ‘Sorry, we thought you had WMD, but how about some freedom?’

Ah, but the post Crimean Ukraine.

No one can say we went to Iraq for empire. I mean, look at the place. Much rather drill a big pipe 10,000 feet into North Dakota if it’s oil, or suck some via the XL pipeline (if it ever gets built..maybe 2017) some think we’re after.

So, yeah, it makes difference, but if you are the nation being stomped, you have to have finer appreciation of the subtleties, unless you are in a Goma or a Srebenica, in which case the Marine kicking in ANYBODY’S door is a sweet sound.

But you can bet, it won’t be a Russian marine, and THAT, is the difference.

The organization was upset at comments made by “The Five” co-host Andrea Tantaros during a discussion of the bestial behavior of ISIS militants. 

Following previous comments that Muslim zealots had historically engaged in beheadings, and that James Foley’s murder was nothing uncommon, she said, “You can’t solve it with a dialogue. You can’t solve it with a summit. You solve it with a bullet to the head. It’s the only thing these people understand.”

Denmark ‘high on Isis’s list’: Danish jihadist

A militant jihadist born and raised in Denmark has fought alongside Isis in Syria and said that “soon it will be Denmark’s turn”.

The terrorist organisation Isis has its sights set on Denmark according to a Danish-Turkish militant who has fought in Syria. The 27-year-old jihadist, identified only as ÖA, told Politiken that as “an enemy of Islam”, Denmark is on Isis’s radar.

“We have become very international and Denmark is high up on the list, believe me,” ÖA told the newspaper. ÖA was born and raised in Denmark but said he felt no allegiance to the country.

OJ Simpson's decided to convert to Islam

As if it couldn't be any harder for me to watch the films and TV programs he's appeared in without feeling depressed, now he intends to make it nigh impossible:

O.J. Simpson wants to convert to Islam — if he can get through the holy month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is the fourth of the five pillars of Islam, and requires Muslims to fast during the hours of daylight. And as any recent photo will attest, food is a big, big part of Simpson’s daily life.

According to the National Enquirer, a source said Simpson sometimes wears the traditional Kufi prayer cap and studies the Koran, but failed to fast during Ramadan.

[...] The Enquirer reported that Simpson became interested in Islam through former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, who converted to Islam while serving time in prison for rape.

And upon his release, Tyson made the situation even worse by biting off the ear of Evander Holyfield. One can only wonder what Simpson, if he's ever released from prison, will do after converting. This was a man who murdered his ex-wife and her boyfriend in 1994, and never paid properly for it. And who effectively embarrassed his screen performances. Now he's made things worse by converting, in his words, to find redemption for his deeds, but in reality, as a justification for them. A pure disgrace.

There’s a story my father would tell me when I was growing up.

A man comes into the doctor’s office complaining about a severe pain in his shoulder and wants to know if the doctor can do anything about it.

The doc says, “Sure”, pulls out a hammer and bashes the patient in the head.

The man screams in excruciating pain and the doc says, “Still have that pain in your shoulder?”

That’s the state of our body politic today.

Forty percent of the country is obsessed with the shoulder pain of global warming, war on women, racism, minimum wage, gay marriage, the evil one percent that have OUR money, Islamo-phobia, etc, etc, etc. – I don’t need to go on. Those “issues” and “concerns” of the forty percent have been documented in many a post here at IBA.

The November election will be the intelligence test of how much pain in the head the current Democratic administration’s scandals, incompetence, arrogance, outright lies, traitorous behavior, and down right stupidity have effected the shoulder pain of the Left and if that forty percent will react to the hammer in the head – or even notice the pain – threats to our border and the Islamo-fascists, the miserable economy (GDP under 2% for years),  - hell, I can go on and on – and they WAKE UP!

The test of success is the Republican control of both houses – even, my heart be still – a veto proof Congress.

If America fails the test, there will be no hope. It signals that this country will continue down the dumbed down, gimmie gimmie path of ruin and point to a Democratic win in the Presidential election in 2 years.

The Left’s control of America – and their agenda -  will then be complete.

Senior Pentagon Officials Say Obama Hesitated On James Foley Rescue Mission

President Barack Obama’s “hesitation” to make a decision about American reporter James Foley’s rescue mission delayed the failed operation, according to a report. 

Toby Harnden, a reporter at The Sunday Times, tweeted Friday that a senior Pentagon official confirmed that Obama’s “hesitation” delayed the failed mission, which took place July 4.

Foley, an American freelance reporter, went missing in Syria in 2012 and was executed by ISIS militants, who posted the video of his beheading online. The Obama administration revealed that U.S. special forces had attempted a mission to rescue Foley and other Americans held by the ISIS, including Time reporter Steven Sotloff, but that intelligence failed and the hostages weren’t present.

The White House said in a statement on the attempted rescue that the “hostages were in danger with each passing day.”

Harnden reported earlier this week that Obama took almost 30 days to approve the mission, according to Anthony Shaffer, a former lieutenant-colonel in U.S. military intelligence.

“I’m told it was almost a 30-day delay from when they said they wanted to go to when he finally gave the green light,” Shaffer told Harnden. “They were ready to go in June to grab [Foley] and they weren’t permitted.”

Now current senior Pentagon officials have reportedly confirmed that President Obama delayed the rescue operation.

The National Security Council press team denied Harnden’s report, tweeting Friday that the senior Pentagon official’s comments were “not true” and that the operation took place as soon as President Obama and national security advisers were “confident it could be carried out successfully.”

From the Amazon Jungle to the Road to Damascus

Greeting from the Amazon jungle city of Iquitos, Peru.

I've been living in the city and the jungle for just over two years now, my third year in South America, and I think it is about time for me to consider a move to lesser pastures. I've been on the road for most of my life, and it looks like this will be the whole of my life. Today the Amazon jungle, tomorrow, I'm not so sure.

In the past three months, June, July, and August, I have published three books. My latest is a novel, and action/thriller of a sort, set in Iquitos. It's not exactly James Bond or Jason Bourne. It is, in fact, Jockk Brand. And it's not exactly a high-tech shoot-'em-up. Take a look for yourself and decide.

I write today to inform you all that my time in South America is winding down and that I will depart as soon as my next book if published, a book on Rubber Boom architecture in the Amazon. Once that is complete, my next stop might be Syria.

SAUDI KING: JIHADISTS WILL REACH WEST 'IN MONTH'

"If we ignore them, I am sure they will reach Europe in a month and America in another month," he said in remarks quoted on Saturday by Asharq al-Awsat daily and Saudi-backed Al-Arabiya television station. 

"Terrorism knows no border and its danger could affect several countries outside the Middle East," said the king who was speaking at a welcoming ceremony on Friday for new ambassadors, including a new envoy from Saudi ally the United States. 

The Islamic State (IS) jihadist group has prompted widespread concern as it advances in both Syria and Iraq, killing hundreds of people, including in gruesome beheadings and mass executions. 

Lack of action would be "unacceptable" in the face of the phenomenon, King Abdullah said. 

"You see how they (jihadists) carry out beheadings and make children show the severed heads in the street," he said, condemning the "cruelty" of such acts. 

"It is no secret to you, what they have done and what they have yet to do. I ask you to transmit this message to your leaders: 'Fight terrorism with force, reason and (necessary) speed'."

Judicial Watch: Feds’ Bulletin Describes Threat of Imminent Terrorist Attack on Southern Border

Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. 

Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat. Specifically, Judicial Watch sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is confirmed to now be operating in Juarez, a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Violent crimes are so rampant in Juarez that the U.S. State Department has issued a number of travel warnings for anyone planning to go there. 

The last one was issued just a few days ago. Intelligence officials have picked up radio talk and chatter indicating that the terrorist groups are going to “carry out an attack on the border,” according to one JW source. 

“It’s coming very soon,” according to this high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as “ISIS and Al Qaeda.” An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, another source confirms. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not respond to multiple inquiries from Judicial Watch, both telephonic and in writing, about this information.

Canada's National Post Newspaper Publishes Article Encouraging People To Recite The Shahada In Order to Avoid Being Murdered By Crazed Muslims

For those who might not know, reciting the Shahada is, in effect, converting to Islam. So yes, the National Post is encouraging people to renounce their own faith and become Muslims.

Fuck the National Post. I hope a plague of locusts invades their building and they find it impossible to remain in business:

After that, many, myself included, wondered: Should we — Muslim or not — learn the basics of Islam and have a read through the Koran? If one of us ever finds herself in a situation similar to that of Westgate Mall victims, could even a rudimentary knowledge of Islam save us?

“No one knows the true scale of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham over the years. Our conservative estimate is that approximately 1,400 children were sexually exploited over the full inquiry period, from 1997 to 2013. 

What we do know is that the authorities were complicit in it. For at least 16-years gangs of mainly Asian (Muslim) men were able to target, groom and abuse girls as young as 11, with little to fear from the authorities. Victims were gang raped, while others were groomed and trafficked across northern England.  

"It is hard to describe the appalling nature of the abuse that child victims suffered. They were raped by multiple perpetrators, trafficked to other towns and cities in the north of England, abducted, beaten, and intimidated.” 

She added: 

“There were examples of children who had been doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, threatened with guns, made to witness brutally violent rapes and threatened they would be next if they told anyone.” 

The child victim had been repeatedly raped before she found the courage to report her story to the police. She had tried to escape, but the perpetrators had broken her brother’s legs and smashed the windows of her parent’s home as a warning. 

When she finally visited the police station, she received a text from her main abuser who made it perfectly clear what would happen to her 11-year-old sister if she spoke out. “Your choice,” he wrote repeatedly – and the girl refused to give a statement.

The problem began at the top with the same culture of Muslim abuse and Western denial as we see with terrorism. Jahangir Akhtar, the former deputy leader of the council, is accused in the report of naivety and potentially “ignoring a politically inconvenient truth” by insisting there was not a deep-rooted problem of Pakistani-heritage perpetrators targeting young white girls. 

Police told the inquiry that some influential Pakistani councillors in Rotherham acted as barriers to communication on grooming issues. In Rotherham the “majority” of known perpetrators were of Pakistani heritage, the report says, which led to police and council workers “tiptoeing” around the problem. 

Some staff at the council were nervous about identifying the ethnic origins of the attackers for fear of being called racists. Others said they had clear direction from their managers not to do so. A man pulled the hair of a 13-year old and called her a “white bitch” when she tried to reject his attempt to strip her. 

The police did their part… for the Muslim rapists. The report heard of two cases where fathers tracked down their daughters and tried to remove them from houses where they were being abused only to be arrested themselves when police were called.
