Giving Gazans work permits within Israeli parameters enabled them to plan the massacre

One of the reasons the Hamas was able to conduct such a horrific attack on October 7 was because of the work permits Israel made the grave mistake of providing:
Among the litter of guns, korans, and maps discarded by the Hamas terrorists whose bodies lie alongside bullet-riddled vehicles and dusty roads are green Gaza IDs with work permits. Normally residents of the Hamas territory can’t enter Israel, but work permits allowed over 20,000 Gazans to enter Israel. When some returned, it was as Hamas rapists and killers.

The Hamas invasion succeeded so well because the terrorists had an intimate knowledge of the communities they were targeting because they had worked there or had intelligence from those who had worked there. The attackers had detailed maps and building layouts. One woman whose husband and son were murdered said that the Hamas terrorists knew the names of the people, how many children they had and even which of them owned dogs.

Last year, Secretary of State Blinken addressed a J Street even and told the anti-Israel lobby that the Biden administration had pushed Israel to “improve the lives of Palestinians” by, among other things, “issuing thousands of work permits for Palestinians in Gaza”.

The number of exits from Gaza into Israel rose sharply under the Biden administration and the left-wing Bennett-Lapid government which handed out an unprecedented number of work permits.

In 2021, there had been a total of only 7,500 exits a month from Gaza, but by July 2022, there had been 35,370 exits.

The massive increase was due to the work permits that the Biden administration had sought and that Bennett, Lapid and Gantz had willingly provided. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett made the decision to increase the number of work permits from 5,000 to 15,000. Defense Minister Benny Gantz assessed the security situation and approved the move which embedded Hamas terrorists into Israel. By late 2022, the number had expanded to 17,000.
While Lapid and Gantz, along with Biden and Blinken, obviously have to shoulder much guilt, even Bennett - and Ayelet Shaked - have to shoulder much blame for enabling this, by pulling a coup d'etat, all because they didn't like Netanyahu, and come to think of it, they clearly didn't like Donald Trump either. Now, untold damage has occurred by enabling terrorist moles to gather information for planning the massacre that could've been avoided if they really cared about safety. Now, it's crystal clear they don't. And, lest we forget, even Israeli employers must be utterly ashamed of themselves for employing these monsters to begin with.

In another related subject, an insurrection led by pro-Hamas demonstrators took place at Capitol Hill, and unlike the pro-Trump protestors on January 6, 2021, nobody's calling these criminals for what they are:
About one hundred pro-Palestinian insurrectionists occupied a federal House office building in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, chanting “ceasefire now” and “let Gaza live.”

The insurrectionists, many who wore face masks and dressed in black and flew a banner demanding that Israel stop defending itself from rocket attacks against civilians, occupied the ground floor of the Cannon Office Building, one of three main buildings where congressional staff and lawmakers work.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib was leading the protest:
No shock at all. And the Democrats will continue to be okay with this, and do nothing to expel her from their repulsive ranks.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was on the scene and noted a double standard between the pro-Palestinian insurrectionists and the protestors on January 6. “There’s an insurrection happening now on Capitol Hill,” her video caption read of the event. “They are claiming they want peace but they want money to go to terrorists.”
Some news reports noted that the far-left Jewish Voice for Peace was involved. No shock that self-haters would participate either. What next, will Neturei Karta turn up? And what are the chances that nobody who took part in this left-wing insurrection will ever be prosecuted?

Lawmakers in Congress not supporting Iranian protestors

When it comes to foreign issues, even conservatives in Congress are faltering when it comes to the issue of Iran's anti-regime protestors:
Iranian activists are worried U.S. lawmakers have lost interest in supporting Iranian protesters and holding the regime accountable for its torture and murder of more than 500 anti-regime demonstrators, Iranian-American activists say.

More than three months after a bipartisan coalition of lawmakers introduced the MAHSA Act, which would impose new sanctions on Tehran's government for its violent crackdown on democratic protesters, Congress has yet to push it forward. Activists are frustrated by the slow roll of the legislation, which was named after 22-year-old Iranian woman Mahsa Amini, who was killed by the country's morality police for improperly wearing her hijab.

"We are outraged that those most responsible for such atrocities and human rights abuses have not yet been met with any consequences," Sarah Raviani, an Iranian-American human rights activist, told the Free Beacon. "We will no longer accept empty statements of condemnation from our politicians. Rather, we are imploring that U.S. lawmakers take action by supporting the MAHSA Act."

Amini’s death on Sept. 22 sparked nationwide protests against Iran’s hardline regime, posing the most significant threat to its grip on power in years. Pressure on the regime is needed more than ever, according to activists, in the week since Iran launched an attack in Syria that killed one U.S. citizen and wounded six military members, leaving them with traumatic brain injuries.
With the way the USA is going today under leftism, that's one of the reasons we sadly may not be able to rely on better steps taken against Iran. But if the Republicans aren't taking any proper steps either, that's decidedly telling too. This is very grave, and the GOP is going to have to prove itself better than this for a change.

Ilhan Omar's Victory Lap

Check out this Tweet:

Note this portion:
...It's the first time we've voted on a resolution condemning Anti-Muslim bigotry in our nation's history....
A Congressional resolution isn't law. But how far away are we from a law forbidding sites such as Infidel Bloggers Alliance?  In many circles, any criticism of Islam is considered to be "anti-Muslim" bigotry.

The Art Of The Deal

This morning, various talking heads, including some politicians, are whining because President Trump cut a deal with the Democrats.

From GOP livid after Trump cuts deal with Democrats, at Politico (dated September 6, 2017):
President Donald Trump's and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's tête-à-tête on Tuesday — after a summer of sniping between the two — lifted Republican hopes that the GOP was finally back in sync ahead of a brutal fall of fiscal deadlines.

Not 24 hours later, the president cut a deal with Democrats on a short-term debt ceiling increase opposed by McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan. Just Wednesday morning, in fact, Ryan had scoffed at the Democratic offer that Trump accepted minutes later....

Well, GOPe, in your hurry to go on yet another of your recesses, you didn't fulfill your promise to repeal ObamaCare. And you are dragging their feet on tax reform and, of course, the Wall. Did you really expect President Trump to wring his hands and do nothing?

President Trump calls out the GOPe.

Trump Voters Are Fed Up!

From the sidebar of the web page of my friend Kid:

Too many broken promises!

I hope that what Dave Brat did to Eric Cantor in 2014 goes nationwide in 2018 and 2020.

The GOP has too often joined with the Democratic Party to become the uniparty.

This is war!

Another Attack On Free Speech In America

Check out what the United States Senate recently passed.

From U.S. Trying to Criminalize Free Speech - Again:
On April 4, 2017, the US Senate passed Senate Resolution 118, "Condemning hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States". The resolution was drafted by a Muslim organization, EmgageUSA (formerly EmergeUSA) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).

Yet Another Planned End Run: Iran Nuclear Deal Restricts U.S. More Than Congress Knew

And Barack Hussein Obama and John Fonda Kerry are getting ready to make another end run around our so-called elected representatives on Capitol Hill.  And never mind that Obama signed off on the December 2015 Omnibus Bill.

From Bloomberg (December 22, 2015 ):
Iran Nuclear Deal Restricts U.S. More Than Congress Knew

Members of Congress knew the Iran nuclear deal came with strings attached. They just didn't know how many.

When the administration presented the agreement to Congress, lawmakers were told that new sanctions on Iran would violate the deal. Now the administration is trying to sidestep a recently passed provision to tighten rules on visas for those who have visited Iran.

House staffers who spoke with us say Iran was included for good reason, because it remains on the U.S. list of state of sponsors of terrorism for its open support for Hezbollah and Hamas. The White House did not object until the Iranian government told the administration last week that the bill would violate the nuclear agreement, according to correspondence on these negotiations shared with us.

[...]

At issue is a provision that would require travelers who visit certain countries -- including Iran, Sudan, Syria and Iraq -- to apply at a U.S. Embassy for a visa before coming to the U.S., even if they are from a country for which such visas would normally be waived....

The GOP Betrayal Worsens

Just when you thought the betrayal wrought by the December 2015 omnibus bill couldn't be any worse.

GET A LOAD OF THIS!

Tweeted today by Conn Carroll, Communications Director for Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT):

Democrats were AGAINST tripling the H2B program http://thehill.com/homenews/house/263592-liberal-minority-dems-sound-off-against-omnibus …

This was a "Republican" ask.

The Iran Agreement: A Done Deal?

Follow-up to this recent post by Pastorius.

From the Washington Post (July 14, 2015):
"When is a treaty not a treaty?" Stevenson said. "When it's not called a treaty." Otherwise: "There's no other difference."
Not comforting!
So Congress reached an agreement with Obama under which it can vote to void any deal that is reached with Iran. With the deal now wrapped up, Congress could vote very soon. Obama's pretty safe, though, because as was clear even when he agreed to allow Congress to vote, he can veto any "no" vote if it passes both chambers in the Republican-controlled Congress. At that point, Republicans would need to get many Democrats to join them to overturn the veto.

[...]

The basic thing we want you to take away from this is the difference between a treaty (which has to be approved by the Senate) and an executive agreement (a treaty-except-not-officially-called-that which doesn't have to be approved by the Senate but that sometimes Congress gets to vote on.)

Any braying and boasting about stopping the Iran deal in the upcoming GOP debate on August 6 will mean nothing.

UNLESS the next POTUS can and will cancel the executive agreement.

Sloppy Legislation = Tyranny

Please watch this short video before reading my commentary:

For a moment, let's think about all this in different terms. Because I'm most comfortable discussing this matter in educational terms, allow me to do so for just a moment.

First, note these two examples of dangling participial phrases:
Hiking the trail, the birds chirped loudly.

Wishing I could sing, the high notes seemed to taunt me.
Grammatically correct revisions of the two above examples:
Wishing I could sing, I feel taunted by the high notes.

Hiking the trail, Squiggly and Aardvark heard birds chirping loudly.
You can learn more about dangling participles at Grammar Girl.

Now let's look at an example from the classroom:

A student turns in a composition to me. I find all sorts of errors in logic, dangling participles, and the like. I point out to the student what he has actually said in the essay.

He replies: "That's not what I meant."

I respond: "But that's what you said."

Then we laugh because the errors actually conveyed absurd images: in the first example, the birds were hiking the trail; in the second example, the notes were singing the high notes.

From that point on, the student is more careful to write exactly what he means.  And he proofreads, too.

Words matter — or used to matter.  United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was spot on when he stated in his dissent to the SCOTUS ObamaCare decision of June 25, 2015: "Words [now] have no meaning..."

According to the Roberts Doctrine, which overthrows the United States Constitution, my students no longer have to revise.  They can be a sloppy as they like with their words. HOORAY!  [sarcasm]

Furthermore, the words in all contracts to which you have penned your name mean nothing. Sound farfetched to you? Think again! A few short years ago could you have imagined that America would be in the sorry state which she is in today? And so rapidly?

Congress, packed with lawyers who should know how to write legislation correctly, drafted sloppy legislation and, worse, did not read the final gargantuan piece of ObamaCare legislation.  Of course, President Obama, a Harvard Law School graduate, also didn't read the law. In my view, all of them committed political malpractice.

Political malpractice is tyranny!

The Jihad Caucus

From the DC Independent Examiner (hat tip to Gulag Bound):
...[A] group of 14 U.S. senators, led by the indefatigable Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, have written a letter to Obama urging him to allow 65,000 Syrians in as refugees. This would require a dramatic expansion of the refugee program, and virtually guarantee that a sizable number of ISIS fighters would slip in among them. Frank Gaffney’s Center for Security Policy has given them the moniker “Jihad Caucus” because practically speaking, Jihad is what this request will bring.

The 14 senators demanding this massive influx of Syrians are:

Dick Durbin (D-IL)

Amy Klobuchar (D-MN)

Al Franken (D-MN)

Patrick Leahy (D-VT)

Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)

Patty Murray (D-WA)

Robert Menendez (D-NJ)

Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)

Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH)

Christopher Coons (D-DE)

Tim Kaine (D-VA)

Edward Markey (D-MA)

Sherrod Brown (D-OH)

Mazie Hirono (D-HI)...

The FBI has previously warned that there is no reliable way to determiner whether or not ISIS embeds might be among the Syrian refugees.

Cutting Retiree Benefits

The cuts involve the ailing Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, an independent agency of the federal government.  This portion of the Wikipedia article explains how the PBGC is funded.

Excerpt from the Washington Post article Congressional leaders hammer out deal to allow pension plans to cut retiree benefits:
A measure that would for the first time allow the benefits of current retirees to be severely cut is set to be attached to a massive spending bill, part of an effort to save some of the nation’s most distressed pension plans.

The rule would alter 40 years of federal law and could affect millions of workers, many of them part of a shrinking corps of middle-income employees in businesses such as trucking, construction and supermarkets....
Note the following example:
Whitlow Wyatt, 70, retired with a $3,300-a-month pension in 2000 after working more than 33 years as a long-haul driver. He could face pension reductions of 30 percent or more if Congress permits trustees of the hard-pressed pension fund to slash benefits.

Just imagine what havoc these cuts would work upon the personal budgets of many already-retired, elderly retirees under the age of seventy-five!  Retirees who are over age seventy-five or disabled are exempt from the cuts.

The root of the financial troubles of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation is an inverted pyramid of support for the pension plans.  There used to be four active workers or members for each retiree, but now the ratio is one active worker or member for every five retirees.

Meanwhile: Boehner gives $16,928 for each of the 56,000 youths, young adults and children who crossed the border during the 12 months up to October 2014.

Janet Napolitano Attempts To Defend Radical Islamist By Refusing To Answer a Question

Janet Napolitano makes me sick. The woman is obviously hiding something, though she is attempting to adorn herself in a veil of unapproachable sanctimony.

This woman is not fit to serve in a government of the People. She deserves to be drawn, tarred, and feathered.

If it were solely up to me, she would serve an even worse fate.

Just watch this video.

Here's some information about Mohammed Elibiari and the Freedom and Justice Foundation, the man and organization Janet Napolitano is trying to protect:

The Dallas based Freedom & Justice Foundation here lists its advisory council. F&J leaders are drawn from the plethora of Alphabet-soup Muslim Brotherhood organizations: CAIR; ISNA; MAS; MSA and others.
(It must be mere coincidence that the Muslim Brotherhood’s recently formed political party in Egypt is called Freedom & Justice)CAIR
  • Despite disingenuous objections, the Council on American-Islamic Relations remains an un-indicted co-conspirator in raising funds for banned terror group and genocidal maniacs Hamas, a sister Muslim Brotherhood group.
  • Alongside Farha Ahmed on F&J’s Advisory Council is current CAIR operative Mustaffa Carrol (who denies Hamas is a terrorist organization); and
  • Former CAIR operative and current President of the Muslim Legal Fund of America, Erik “Khalil” Meek, a staunch defender of Hamas. Meek’s involvement with MLFA circles back to Lady Al-Qaeda.
  • Several of CAIR’s leaders have been jailed or deported for terrorist related offenses.
ISNA
  • ironically at the same time their frivolous appeal was under review a separate legal process was unfolding in Dallas where leadership at ISNA through their own discovery process had no choice but to admit organizational ties to Hamas. Their excuse ? It wasnt illegal at the time the ties were established.
MAS
  • The Muslim American Society has at least 3 representatives on the F&J Advisory Council.
  • Marwan Marouf is listed multiple times by the US DoJ for providing funds for a Dallas Charity, the Holy Land Foundation, which was, in fact a fundraising entity for Hamas.
... co-Leaders at F&J includes Khaild Hamideh, a self acknowledged financier of Hamas suicide bombers’ widows and orphans. Another MLFA attorney (see above), he represented Hamas money laundering Elashi Brothers. Hamideh dismisses convictions handed down in the Holy Land Foundation Trial as persecution of Muslims by the US government.
Freedom and Justice Foundation is led by Mohamed Elibiary, who, when confronted by those who criticized him speaking at a Dallas pro-Khomeni rally  – in a nod to Shariah Law, threatened violence
Elibiary is a follower of Sayyid Qutb, acknowledged as the forefather of Muslim Brotherhood radical ideology. It was Qutb who in his famous work “Milestones” commented that a bridge between Islam and the rest of the world can only exist as a one-way bridge for non-Muslims to come to Islam; advocated hatred towards Jews and Christians and blamed the west, specifically America for all the Muslim world’s ills.

A deeper research of F&J website shows them to be proud of their accomplishments in: outright opposition to the Patriot Actencouraging the US government removes wording that connects Islam & Jihad from Terrorismpressuring immigration officials abandon scrutiny of Muslim males aged 18-40 from Muslim; and Dawah (Muslim evangelism).
F & J were the sponsors of a conference in which they presented a disturbing 16 pagedocument on how to engage non-Muslims in America (Dawa) The last three pages of this document are a road map for Muslim Leaders on the art of dispensing to Americans Taqiyya (deception to further Islam) and Kitman (half truths designed to obscure the true militant nature of Islam).
F&J does all of this under the umbrella of “interfaith outreach”, yet their activism follows the same Anti-American pro-Islamist agenda as the previously mentioned Hamas connected CAIR & ISNA, which is hardly surprising considering  F&J’s leadership is riddled with Muslim Brotherhood operatives.
... the strategic goal of the Muslim Brotherhood in the USA is
“a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions”
If Napolitano wants to protect such a man, and such an organization, she is a treasonous monster.

Congressman Jim Moran Talks to Arab TV

And denounces those who oppose Obama's agenda as racists. From Politico:
Speaking to Arab television network Alhurra, Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) said Republicans made big gains in November in part because “a lot of people in this country … don’t want to be governed by an African-American.”

Even more objectionable to some Americans, he said, is that Obama is a black president “who is inclusive, who is liberal, who wants to spend money on everyone and who wants to reach out to include everyone in our society — that’s a basic philosophical clash.”

Moran’s remarks came Tuesday in an interview conducted after Obama delivered his State of the Union speech. Democrats, Moran said, lost for “the same reason the Civil War Happened in the United States … the Southern states, particularly the slaveholding states, didn’t want to see a president who was opposed to slavery.” Virginia, of course, is one of those Southern, formerly slaveholding states....
Thus, Moran is promoting white guilt.

The Civil War is over. Sure, racism still exists in the United States. There's no denying that fact. But to attribute the results of the 2010 elections exclusively to racism is inaccurate and denial of the will of the American people as they exercised that will at the ballot box last November. Besides, the district from which Moran runs for office is overwhelmingly white (liberal), and Democrat Moran got re-elected. Or maybe Moran has decided that Virginia, particularly Northern Virginia is not part of the South - never mind that slaves were indeed held in bondage here in Northern Virginia.

And what the hell is Moran doing talking to Arab television, anyway? Following Obama's lead, I suppose. Obama spoke with al-Arabiya in one of his first interviews after taking office in January 2009.

Here in Northern Virginia, Congressman Moran sometimes runs for office without opposition. And when an opponent does challenge Moran for that particular seat in Congress, Moran trounces him. Never mind Moran's frequent off-the-cuff remarks:
Moran has gotten in trouble for his off-the-cuff remarks in the past. In 2007, he alleged that the “extraordinarily powerful” pro-Israel lobby played a major role in promoting the U.S. war in Iraq. A strong supporter of his district’s Muslim community, Moran faced criticism from Jewish groups in 2003 for saying that then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was visiting Washington “probably seeking a warrant from President Bush to kill at will with weapons we’ve paid for.”
Moran is standing by his recent statements about Obama and racist America.
