Did Eric Holder Also Lie... to a Judge?

I don't know what the fuck I'm saying anymore
It's very simple: In his warrant application, Holder claimed to be interested in investigating James Rosen as a coconspirator in an espionage case. In addition, he claimed Rosen was a "flight risk," which would justify even closer monitoring.
Now he says he never had any intention of prosecuting Rosen. In other words: He now says helied when he told the judge these things, in order to secure his license to snoop on Rosen.
Well, which is it? If he never had any intention of prosecuting Rosen, the warrant application is a fraud on the court.
If he did have such an intention... that raises some additional questions.

AP CEO Says DOJ Monitored “Thousands And Thousands” Of AP Phone Calls

NEW YORK — Associated Press president and chief executive Gary Pruitt told staff at a Wednesday town hall meeting that the phone records obtained by the government included “thousands and thousands” of calls in and out of the news organization, according to a staffer who attended.
The AP revealed on May 13 that the Justice Department had seized records for 20 separate phone lines over a two-month period as part of a leak investigation, but has not mentioned how many calls may have been affected.
Pruitt said Wednesday that the Obama administration acted as “judge, jury and executioner” in secretly obtaining the news organization’s records, a criticism he also leveled in a recent appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

Obama State Department Says It May Not Comply With Congressional Subpoena Of Benghazi Documents

Spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters Wednesday that the State Department has not decided if it will comply with a congressional subpoena demanding documents related to the crafting of Benghazi talking points for Susan Rice.
Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent a five-page letter on Tuesday explaining why he as chair of the Oversight Committee issued the subpoena and what documents he expects to be delivered by June 7th.
Asked about the State Department’s response to the letter, Psaki praised the “unprecedented degree of cooperation with Congress” on the issue of Benghazi. “But of course, we remain committed, as we have consistently been, to working with Congress,” Psaki added. The Spokeswoman said that the Department is “taking stock” and “determining the next appropriate steps.”
“You haven’t yet decided whether or not the State Department will be providing the documents that are in the subpoena?” a reporter asked Psaki. “That’s correct,” she responded.

Matt Hawkins needs to do better research

In a minor conversation about the 7th issue of the Think Tank comic, Top Cow's senior manager Hawkins and a reader said the following:

Some important points to make about history and facts:
As for Think Tank itself, I did some more research, and according to Fanboy Nation:
For about twenty minutes after I finish an issue of Think Tank I contemplate stocking up on canned goods, water, and emergency supplies. Matt Hawkins ensures that you will think about what’s going on in our world, even if you’d planned to be blissfully ignorant and just indulge in a comic. My main warning is that if you are a staunch Fox News Conservative, this likely is not the comic for you. If you are interested in how war, science, or a combination of the two, work, this comic is something you should continue to pick up until Hawkins and Ekedal retire.
Not if it's built on liberal anti-war/science beliefs, I'm afraid. If it's negative to conservatives, and if it resorts to trutherism, as I'd worried before, then the chances of it getting any of its subjects right is extremely minimal, if at all.

Hawkins has to choose whether he's interested in fantasy adventure like Aphrodite IX or fantasy politics like Think Tank's story. It just can't be both.

Update: here's a review of the second part of this story, which describes the story as so:
After previously being betrayed by his lover in previous comics, Mirra, Dr. David Loren finds himself numb and disillusioned. His realization that the military will never let him go causes his language to become more blunt and his behavior to become erratic. Under design is a bio-viral weapon that released into the air as a gas will target distinct strains of DNA to kill intended targets. The formula is designed to be specific in its targets, meaning that should the military use it on a Middle Eastern target, they will be able to destroy only one genetic group of people’ even with the close genetic heritage of the Israeli and Palestinian people. The project clearly violates international laws on genocide, and the general in charge of the project is not pleased with his name being attached. The battle of what is moral and what is necessary comes into play.
Whatever Hawkins had in mind here, it sounds ludicrous and mind-numbing. And, it's politically tendentious.

Men's Age, as Determined by a Trip to Home Depot

Ok, I think it's time for a momentary distraction.

You are in the middle of some kind of project around the house--Mowing the lawn, putting in a new fence, painting the living room or whatever.
You are hot and sweaty, covered in dust, lawn clippings, dirt or paint.
You have your old work clothes on.
You know the outfit -- shorts with the hole in the crotch, old T-shirt with a stain from who-knows-what and an old pair of tennis shoes.
Right in the middle of this great home improvement project you realize you need to run to Home Depot to get something to help complete the job.

Depending on your age you might do the following:

In your 20's:

Stop what you are doing. Shave, take a shower, blow dry your hair, brush your teeth, floss and put on clean clothes.
Check yourself in the mirror and flex.
Add a dab of your favorite cologne because you never know, you just might meet some hot chick while standing in the checkout lane.
And you went to school with the pretty girl running the register.

In your 30's:

Stop what you are doing, put on clean shorts and shirt.
Change shoes.
You married the hot chick so no need for much else.
Wash your hands and comb your hair.
Check yourself in the mirror. Still got it.
Add a shot of your favorite cologne to cover the smell.
The cute girl running the register is the kid sister to someone you went to school with.

In your 40's:

Stop what you are doing. Put on a sweatshirt that is long enough to cover the hole in the crotch of your shorts.
Put on different shoes and a hat.
Wash your hands.
Your bottle of Brute Cologne is almost empty so you don't want to waste any of it on a trip to Home Depot.
Check yourself in the mirror and do more sucking in than flexing.
The hot young thing running the register is your daughter's age and you feel weird thinking she is spicy.

In your 50's:

Stop what you are doing. Put on a hat, wipe the dirt off your hands onto your shirt.
Change shoes because you don't want to get dog doo-doo in your new sports car.
Check yourself in the mirror and you swear not to wear that shirt anymore because it makes you look fat.
The Cutie running the register smiles when she sees you coming and you think you still have it.
Then you remember the hat you have on is from Bubba's Bait Beer Bar and it says, 'I Got Worms.'

In your 60's:

Stop what you are doing. No need for a hat anymore.
Hose the dog doo-doo off your shoes.
The mirror was shattered when you were in your 50's.
You hope you have underwear on so nothing hangs out the hole in your pants.
The girl running the register may be cute, but you don't have your glasses on so you are not sure.

In your 70's:

Stop what you are doing. Wait to go to Home Depot until the drug store has your prescriptions ready, too.
Don't even notice the dog doo-doo on your shoes.
The young thing at the register stares at you and you realize your balls are hanging out the hole in your crotch.

In your 80's:

Stop what you are doing. Start again. Then stop again.
Now you remember you need to go to Home Depot.
Go to Wal-Mart instead and wander around trying to think what it is you are looking for.
Fart out loud and you think someone called out your name.
You went to school with the old lady who greeted you at the front door.

In your 90's beyond:

What's a home deep hoe? Something for my garden?
Where am I? Who am I? Why am I reading this?
Did I send it? Did you? Who farted?

I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

Obama’s IRS Stooge Visited White House at Least 157 Times

157! Hello!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!

From ACE

Apparently targeting Tea Partiers was Obama’s top priority the past several years. What else could possibly explain having this guy visit the White House far more than any cabinet member?
Publicly released records show that embattled former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House at least 157 times during the Obama administration, more recorded visits than even the most trusted members of the president’s Cabinet.
Shulman’s extensive access to the White House first came to light during his testimony last week before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Shulman gave assorted answers when asked why he had visited the White House 118 times during the period that the IRS was targeting tea party and conservative nonprofits for extra scrutiny and delays on their tax-exempt applications.
By contrast, Shulman’s predecessor Mark Everson only visited the White House once during four years of service in the George W. Bush administration and compared the IRS’s remoteness from the president to “Siberia.” But the scope of Shulman’s White House visits — which strongly suggests coordination by White House officials in the campaign against the president’s political opponents — is even more striking in comparison to the publicly recorded access of cabinet members.
So at first he claimed it was 118 visits, and laughably said some were for Easter Egg Rolls. Now it’s 157 times. Heck, giving the extensive vacation time for Obama, it appears Shulman was in the White House more than Obama himself. Even Obama’s goon Eric Holder visited less than half as many times as Shulman. Heck, Janet Napolitano and Holder combined logged fewer visits. But move along, nothing to see here, folks.

IRS Chief Had More Public White House Visits Than Any Cabinet Member

California Senate Passes New Gun Control Laws – Including Ammo Registry

The California Senate today approved a package of bills that tighten the state’s regulation of firearms by outlawing detachable and large capacity magazines, keeping track of people who buy ammunition and widening the category of offenders who are prohibited from owning guns for 10 years.
Senate Democrats drafted the bills in response to December’s school shooting in Newtown, Conn.
“The package, if you look at the whole array of measures before this body today, are designed to close loopholes in existing regulations, keep the circulation of firearms and ammunition out of the hands of dangerous persons, and strengthen education on gun ownership,” Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg said to his colleagues as he argued in favor of the legislation.
“These bills attempt to respond to those well-publicized tragedies and many more that go unpublicized.”
Republicans, who hold a minority in the state Senate, voted against the bills, arguing that they would make it harder for law-abiding citizens to access weapons, while doing little to combat crime. They said mass shootings are caused by mental illness, not a lack of gun regulations.

Speak Your Mind About Islam Day: Thursday, June 6, 2013

The declaration below was written by a British citizen who wishes to remain anonymous. Let's show our solidarity with the British.

Just this past week we were shocked to witness, in broad daylight, on London streets, the ambush and barbaric murder of Lee Rigby, a British soldier, husband, and father of a young child. Lee was ambushed by two men, one of whom spoke directly to the camera afterwards. This man made it clear that his motivations were based upon Islam and the numerous verses in the Quran that call for violence against non-Muslims.

Afterward, individual citizens from the UK and around the world flooded social media with their sentiments about Islam, the false narrative that it is a “Religion of Peace” and the blatant falsehood put forth by Prime Minister Cameron that the teachings of Islam had nothing to do with this brutal assassination. Several citizens have since been arrested by the government of Great Britain for comments they made under the influence of grief and anger. These actions by the government are an attempt to suppress free speech and must not be tolerated. We ask that you stand with these persecuted individuals as a unified people.

In response to the British government’s attempts to suppress free speech, we wish to declare Thursday, June 6th, 2013 “Speak Your Mind About Islam Day”. June 6th is a day of great significance for the free peoples of the world.

In the 1940’s, American, Australian, Brit, Canadian, Frenchman, Indian, Russian, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Sikh and countless others were bound together by the common goal of eradicating forever the vile ideology of Nazism. On June 6th, 1944, segments of these diverse allied forces bound together and stormed Fortress Europe marking the beginning of the end of the ideology of Nazism as a force among men.

Let June 6th 2013 once again be that day for us.

On Thursday, June 6th, 2013 we ask that you flood social media with your thoughts on and knowledge of Islam as a clear and unmistakable message to our governments around the world that we will NOT be silenced by blasphemy laws, statutes on “community cohesion”, or threats and acts of intimidation carried out by our governments in an attempt to silence us on the issue of Islam and its undeniable ties to religiously motivated acts of terror around the world. Our overwhelming numbers and unified voice must make it clear that we will become increasingly UNGOVERNABLE, without becoming violent, on the issue of Islamic terror. An assault on one will be treated as an assault upon us all; we will stand together as one voice. Political careers will pay a price at the polls for the condescending act of telling us that Islam is what we all know it is not.

Rules of Conduct:

  1. Keep it civilized — nothing positive comes from mob-like behavior.
  2. Focus on the ideology of Islam, not individuals.
  3. No profanity or ad hominem attacks — they cause people to tune out the message because of the messenger.
  4. The goal is to unite us, garner group support for the cause, and put our governments on notice that we will not be silenced.

Please share this now with every blogger and social media group you know about.

Barack Obama, Khalid al-Mansour, and Percy Sutton

From the American Thinker:

Legendary lawyer and politician Percy Sutton has died at the age of 89, and the major media are omitting mention of one of his most notable acts. The former Borough President of Manhattan, Sutton had a long and distinguished career as a lawyer (he was Malcolm X's attorney) and media mogul, who purchased radio stations in New York and other cities, making them into high rated black-oriented outlets. He also purchased and renovated (thereby saving from the wrecking ball) New York's legendary Apollo Theatre in Harlem. To top it off, Sutton was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, one of the most celebrated groups in military aviation circles. A man of great accomplishment, whatever else one might think about his politics, and a man worthy of great respect.

However, one of Sutton's most notable moments is absent from the media hagiographies I have seen: he stated on television that he knew that an Islamic supremacist, Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, and advisor to a wealthy Saudi, had paid for Barack Obama's education at Harvard Law School.

Exactly how young Barack Obama, a man of slender means, managed to pay for a Harvard Law degree has long been a mystery, and the President has not been forthcoming about any details of his elite education.

See for yourself, Sutton's remarkable statement, which has been considgned to the Memory Hole, by the major media. Not even a reference to a "controversial contention" or other such euphemism. It simply never happened as far as the media are concerned.
