America’s Fundamental Transformation Under Obama

Last week on “The O’Reilly Factor,” I recalled how Barack Obama spoke in 2008 about the “fundamental transformation of the nation.” After five years of his presidency, we see the enormous success he’s had in achieving it.
The objective was always to move America away from a nation built on individual liberty and economic freedom and toward a government welfare and dependency state. Socialism, communism, statism, leftism — in the end it doesn’t matter what you call it, because what matters is what’s being carried out…and its consequences.
Radical wealth redistribution, class warfare, socialized medicine, the atomization of American society, divisive identity politics, the war on success, the loss of our Triple A credit rating, the retrenchment of U.S. power abroad, the gutting of our military, the erosion of our international credibility.
It’s all being done deliberately by Obama and the left in order to “fundamentally transform” this country into just another crippled dependency state.
After five years of evidence, people are still wondering aloud why Obama doesn’t negotiate, why he doesn’t compromise, why he doesn’t handle things the way, say, Bill Clinton did.
Wake the BLEEP up! (and by the way, my book laid all of this out and more. Please see the top of this website for how to order the paperback edition of “What The (Bleep) Just Happened?” It’s all there…and way ahead of its time.)
Unlike Clinton, who was a pragmatist, Obama is a pure ideologue. Why do you think he hasn’t negotiated with Republicans? First, it’s because he doesn’t really have to, given that the liberals in Congress and the media protect and advance his interests at every turn and because the GOP is so spineless. Second, it’s because he’s a total ideologue who will never give anything on his way to “fundamentally transforming the nation.”
Guess what Obama’s next move is? Pushing for immigration “reform” (see the story here). Why? Because granting amnesty to tens of millions of illegals, locking them into government dependency, and creating a permanent Democrat voting majority is the final, missing piece of the “fundamental transformation of the nation.”
After that, America is over.
Stop waiting for Obama to change. It’s never going to happen. And while we’re over here, contemplating our navels and whining about his unwillingness to compromise, he and the left are busily remaking America — right from under us.
Is it too late? I don’t know. Maybe. I wish I could be more optimistic. But the “leadership” on our side is completely unready and unwilling to wage this fight. They simply aren’t up to it.
And while we’ve got a few brave souls on the Hill who get it and are fearlessly fighting back — guys like Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee — the Left has been working tirelessly (along with disgraceful members of the GOP as well) to marginalize and discredit them.
Meanwhile, the left — flanked by its troops in the media — keeps pressing and pressing, exhausting us until we give up, while they never rest, never falter, never compromise, and never fail.
And, well, we’re losing. Not just the fights over the CR and the debt ceiling and Obamacare, but the future of the country. That doesn’t mean that we should stop fighting. We must fight with every breath and ounce of energy we’ve got. But we need to understand what we’re up against, how far down the road of “transformation” we already are, and how our own leadership is failing us.
It’s time to regroup and re-energize and maybe even re-brand the Tea Party. It’s time to find and recruit real conservatives to run for office, from the bottom up. It’s time to support folks who are doing that, from Heritage to FreedomWorks.
It’s time for our own “fundamental transformation.” Let’s go.
