One of the biggest things that bothered me initially about the whole Covid thing, and still bothers me, is when I learned that in November 2019 the French health minister had been asked (by whom or by what entity, I do not know) to change the status of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) in France from over-the-counter (OTC), which it had been for MANY years, to prescription-only.
Seeing no reason for the change and many reasons not to make it, the minister declined to take that action, and accordingly she was replaced by someone who would do it.
HCQ went off pharmacy shelves in France and became prescription-only in January 2020–just in time, so it would seem!
This is a small but incredibly sinister-appearing occurrence to contemplate—in itself only mysterious, but when put together with multiple other events both small and great may turn out to be a canary in the coal mine kind of wake-up call.
