Keep kink in Pride for our kids' sakes! My latest for the Washington Post. #Pride2021 #kinkpositivity https://t.co/mWHveu1EKR

“When our children grew tired of marching, we plopped onto a nearby curb. Just as we got settled, our elementary-schooler pointed in the direction of oncoming floats, raising an eyebrow at a bare-chested man in dark sunglasses whose black suspenders clipped into a leather thong. The man paused to be spanked playfully by a partner with a flog.
‘What are they doing?’ my curious kid asked as our toddler cheered them on. The pair was the first of a few dozen kinksters who danced down the street, laughing together as they twirled their whips and batons, some leading companions by leashes,” she wrote.
“At the time, my children were too young to understand the nuance of the situation, but I told them the truth: That these folks were members of our community celebrating who they are and what they like to do.”
Rowello went on to complain about people who want to remove the open public kink from Pride, by citing the fact that children are exposed to it.
“I agree that Pride should be a welcoming space for children and teens, but policing how others show up doesn’t protect or uplift young people,” the author wrote. “Instead, homogenizing self-expression at Pride will do more harm to our children than good. When my own children caught glimpses of kink culture, they got to see that the queer community encompasses so many more nontraditional ways of being, living, and loving.”
The Washington Post article went on to whine that people do not talk to children about kink enough. “We don’t talk to our children enough about pursuing sex to fulfill carnal needs that delight and captivate us in the moment. Sharing the language of kink culture with young people provides them with valuable information about safe sex practices — such as the importance of establishing boundaries, safe words and signals, affirming the importance of planning and research and the need to seek and give enthusiastic consent,” she wrote. “I never want my children to worry that exploring any aspect of consensual sex or touch is too taboo.”
The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. 2 “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.” “No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.” 3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.” 6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.” 9 “Get out of our way,” they replied. “This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door. 10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. 11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door. 12 The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, 13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”

OMG!
The extent of the present day evil is surreal -- and growing.
"Children need to know that they can make their own ways in the world>"
Correct sentence would read "way in the world" not ways.
Correct headline? "Grooming Children for Pedophile Pleasure and Desire".
Sin should never be normalized because sin destroys without mercy.
Yeah, I don't even know what to say anymore.
Remember: Gay marriage is not a beachhead. There is no slippery slope.
I recognize and recoil at the horror in the first story and then am expected to bow and scrape and swoon to the second. I can fight "kink" without imaginary beings, but lo! I guess I am still a useless SINNER....
The rainbow pervs are ruining the good running out in all directions. There is no longer a day they don't bring pain. Nothing is safe from them. I truly believe they hate and intend to the worst of their ability to poison the very concept of sexual love between males and females. And then where will they get their new classrooms full of innocent children to warp all over again?
Can't decide whether it sounds more like "1984" or "Brave New World" any more.
Problematic is the narrative is being driven by deep pockets and big money. Crammed down our throats, ideologically raping our children, forced upon us.
We are binary. Period. Just like computer code. Nothing changes an XX or XY. Conception, requires a binary process. Minus the same, life cannot spring forth.
Yet our POTUS declares Americans can now declare themselves non-binary on their passports. Perhaps we are of a lower kingdom and phylum. Perhaps we are only spiny-headed worms, or parasites or bacteria. Not made in the image of God but made into a lower order by our own sin.
We are chided to follow the science. Do you believe in unicorns? What about fairies and leprechauns? Why would you fall for mythical non-binary beings?
Isn't it time we speak up, in loud voice, and declare such things not backed by science?
Tammy
