YouTube has admitted to removing nearly 10 million videos each quarter. In a blog post on Wednesday, the site’s Chief Product Officer Neal Mohan said the company took down millions of videos it deemed as “misinformation.”
Mohan added the majority of content being removed was determined to be “dangerous coronavirus information.”
“Speedy removals will always be important, but we know they’re not nearly enough,” he stated. “Instead, it’s how we also treat all the content we’re leaving up on YouTube that gives us the best path forward.”
AND THEN THERE'S THIS:
45: The American ppl, and truth itself, are under attack by Big Tech’s unlawful and Communist-style censorship… We have continued this effort with the filing of a Motion for Preliminary Injunction… There is nothing more important than our right to free speech. pic.twitter.com/Y8HY1U3aNO
