New data by Statistics Canada yesterday confirmed most pandemic victims were over 85. The figures mirror research by other groups indicating a majority of deaths occurred among octogenarians: “The Covid-19 mortality rate for the 85 and older age group outpaced the overall increase in the mortality rate.”
It appears that, in Canada, the average age of a person who dies of COVID is HIGHER THAN THE AVERAGE AGE OF A PERSON WHO DIES IN GENERAL.
This was also true in Ireland for a long time, could still be true in Ireland. I just haven't seen any stats on it.
It may be true across the world. Again, I have not seen any stats.
Interesting that such stats are not published more consistently, huh?
