Uh? Again?

From Ace:

I thought the wires were running three days late when I saw something about all passengers on a Delta/Northwest flight being taken off a plane that just landed in Detroit. A Delta/Northwest Flight 253.

Repeat:

Metro Airport spokesman John Witner said there was a report of suspicious activity on the Delta/Northwest flight 253 from Amsterdam Sunday. That is the same flight number as the flight that a Nigerian man was suspected of attempting to blow up over Detroit on Christmas Day.

All 257 passengers and 12 crew have deplaned safely, said Delta spokeswoman Susan Elliott. The flight landed safely in Detroit at 12:34 p.m. Sunday.

Apparently, this fellow, also from Nigeria, locked himself in a lav and wouldn't come out.

Hey, Janet, is the system still working?

SHEEP!!!!
-the US citizenry has become a flock of sheep!!
Instead of organizing and demanding that our government officials-nation wide REALLY deal with the perverted perps protected by CAIR and et al........we nod SHEEPISHLY and :
take off our shoes ...
take off our watches...
allow strip searches....
and NOW...
no leaving our seats the last hour of a flight...
no blankets/pillows...
These are absolutely USELESS measures ...and just window dressing ...
I-for one-am waiting for us in the US to demand action and not ineffective RoEs and stupidity all around....

Pastorius - is my frustration starting to show!

The Obamistas obviously have no intention whatever of trying to protect anything but their own sorry asses or even pretending to do so. Obama is violating his oath. Impeach the bastard.

Oh, and everyone I tried to talk about it with today just stuck their heads back in the sand and told me not to get upset. They will not react until something happens that directly impacts them. To hell with the fools. If they ever wake up, they know where to find us.

So if Obamullah and his co-whore-ts are playing the "don't give them the attention they crave" game, would that have been the same response if that detonator had worked and 277 human beings and one jihad-drunk shaheed piglet were blown out of the sky? Which is what came within a hairsbreadth of happening? Napolitano would try to claim everything went like "clockwork" then? Fire the bitch.

Something stinks more than the late day response and excuse to this story. Another Nigerian, who works in Yemen claimed that he had food poisoning and that's why he was in the toilet for an hour. A full plane of passengers and only ONE gets food poisoning - what the hell did he pack?

Whatever it was, wanna bet the fuse wouldn't work on it, either? Napolitano's "system" will "work" just as long as it takes for them to fix those damn detonators.

If Napolitano is so sure everything is under control, let her ride the Nigeria-Detroit route for a couple weeks.

This "sick" Nigerian "businessman" boarded with no luggage and barricaded himself in the bathroom for an hour upon landing when the police came on board.

Nothing to see here. Move along. Janet says everything is just fine.
Clockwork, in fact.

Someone needs to fire everyone on the security check unit in Amsterdam. And as for Nigeria, isn't it enough that we get emails from their deposed royalty asking us to help them get their inheritance every day via email? Why is anyone from Nigeria allowed to get on a plane without luggage, without screening?

I am betting he was in the john frantically trying to remove duct tape from his privates. I guess he figured out he would need that for those 72 virgins.

THE SYSTEM WORKED? . .. hey Janet, do tell, which system?

A)Abdulmutallab did not go through full-body imaging machines in Nigeria or Amsterdam, said Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y. King has been briefed on the investigation.

B) “He did not go through passport control,” a Dutch military police spokesman said. The spokesman confirmed he transferred from another flight of uncertain origin.

C) man aided terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab onto plane WITHOUT PASSPORT

D) Considering your boss ordered an urgent review of airline security yesterday after it was revealed that U.S. authorities had known of the bomber's terrorist connections for more than a month

Please Janet . . .do tell!

Pastorius,

Unfortunately at this point I think we are at the point where this is no longer surprising. I don't want anything bad to happen, but if people keep seeing suspicious activity and nothing happens, it might make people take the threat less seriously. Don't get me wrong however another terrorist attack would be bad. I just hope this doesn't happen so much without any newsworthy arrests that people lully themselves into a false sense of security and not take future reports of suspicious activity seriously enough. Off course I would argue that soon after 9/11 a lot of people were waking up to the problem of terrorism (especially Islamic terrorism) are now falling back a sleep again.

@ Ellen, "as for Nigeria, isn't it enough that we get emails from their deposed royalty asking us to help them get their inheritance every day via email?"

RFLMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO...419 scams

Anecdotally i traveled out of Amsterdam, which now has 25% population of Muslims, in Feb '08 on business and for a distribution point of aircraft, many via Middle East, Africa, South Asia, etc. i back then thought security measures were lax.

These new "rules" don't make sense, because the Flying Dutchman who saved the plane (where were the Air Marshalls?) would be prohibited from doing what he did in that last 30 mins prior to landing.

Napolitano is an utter joke, but let's not pass the buck, this comes from on top, Obama, Holder, etc

Thanks for the post. It's like five years of not being in Nigeria has finally made me out-dated for this to be news to me. The change is amazing. Great blog!
