Some people are really good at lying.
Vindman is not.
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

Good post, TLEP.
Vindman is afraid for the safety of his family?
He's a drama queen.
My biggest issue is that once he reported into chain of command, it became the problem of his chain of command.
His chain - just might have advised the POTUS - a man who had never held office - to sculpt his comments in the future. And they (and the others who listened to the conversation in real time) may have had no real concern.
The Navy teaches "Never be senior with a secret" meaning that if you know something of concern, report it to the person above you in rank in your department. It then becomes their problem and you are relieved of your personal burden.
LtCol Vindman defied his culture and the training received regarding confidentiality and gave the National Security Council a black eye. Who the hell wants to discuss in frank manner anything with our POTUS knowing of the Vindman Effect.
