The (Broward County Sheriffs Office) BCSO knew about the 3 deputies the day of the shooting from other non BCSO officers who had responded and entered the school. The fact that these three remained outside was not known to the public until five days ago.
There is no reason not to have interviewed these three deputies immediately after the shooting. As being some of the first of officers on the scene, they should have either been interviewed or instructed to write memos concerning their actions in the response to the school shooting as part of the homicide investigation. The IAD investigation didn’t come into play until after the public was aware of the deputies inaction.
Furthermore, there is no legitimate reason for even delaying the IAD interview. Order them to respond with their attorneys on a specified date and time. If they refuse to appear and/or make a Garrity Statement, suspend them for failing to follow a direct order. Been there, done that.
If these deputies have not been interviewed as either part of the criminal investigation or the IAD investigation, then the Sheriff doesn’t want them to be interviewed. It is sort of like not releasing the information about Peterson’s cowardliness until after the anti-gun dog and pony show. What is Sheriff Israel hiding.

Though I’ve been defending Scott Israel, I’m thoroughly enjoying Sundance putting a spotlight on the corrupt entities that are Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Most people who live in Broward don’t know we even have a mayor, as the mayor is elected by the County Commission. In Broward, also unknown to most people who live in Broward, our mayor is a black Muslim female, with quite a shady history of ripping off the United States taxpayer. This is a dirty place, no question."<=====
