SPAIN: Basketball Player Oscar Cabrera Collapses On Court

This man's collapse is being attributed to a "Syncope", which is a temporary loss of consciousness. He is in the hospital, I guess, just in case he has another syncope.

Now, you might be wondering, "Pastorius, can Pericarditis cause a Syncope?"

Well, what do you know? Yes it can:

Look for all cases of Myocarditis/Pericarditis to be blamed on Syncope from now on.

Syncope can be a compensatory mechanism. Dropping, can assist in blood flow to the heart and brain.

Interesting. That makes sense.
