So, the question is, by his statement, does Obama mean we need to close down the Jihad-funding Zakat organizations, so Muslims can donate in the confidence that they will not be funding Jihad operations, or does he simply mean he wants to make it easy for Muslims to donate to whatever Zakat organization they want to donate to?

No I did not vote for him, but I wouldn't be so sure Obama regards himself as a Muslim. I'm just saying that the only way I'd change my mind and vote for him come next election is if the republican candidate was really bad, because this, combined with many of the other things he's done so far, makes him one of the worst presidents in American history. I do not want to have to suffer through a second term of the Obama administration.
At this point, I'd vote for Stupid Palin. But yes, the Republicans better get this right, there's too much riding on the next election and BO has got to go.

It's an ecumenical speech that not once speaks to those of us who do not believe in any "Abrahamic" religion, or religion at all ... as if, in this age, the presumption of a "male" god is the bedrock of civilization and not its bane. But I once ran into an Iranian in Tokyo who when I told him I didn't believe in the concept of god began to shake in anger and only calmed himself because he realized he was in Tokyo and not Tehran.
I must be clear about, however, I do not like intellectual dishonesty. And, the idea that Islam believes in the same God as Judaism or Christianity is a flat out lie.

Many Zakat organizations are nothing more than fronts for money laundering to terrorism. I find it hard to believe that BHO doesn't know that.
