No one ever said some Infidels aren't fucking retarded.
The New York Times reported:
A 31-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday and charged with a hate crime in connection with the death of a man who was pushed onto the tracks of an elevated subway station in Queens and crushed by an oncoming train.
The woman, Erika Menendez of the Bronx, has been charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime, Richard A. Brown, the Queens district attorney, said.
“The defendant is accused of committing what is every subway commuter’s nightmare,” Mr. Brown said in an interview. “Being suddenly and senselessly pushed into the path of an oncoming train.”
Mr. Brown quoting Ms. Menendez as telling the police, “I pushed a Muslim off the train tracks because I hate Hindus and Muslims ever since 2001 when they put down the twin towers I’ve been beating them up.”
Ms. Menendez conflated the Muslim and Hindu faiths both in her comments to the police and in her target for attack, officials said.
The victim, Sunando Sen, was born in India and, according to a roommate, was raised Hindu.
Pamela Geller points out:Mr. Sen “was allegedly shoved from behind and had no chance to defend himself,” Mr. Brown said. “Beyond that, the hateful remarks allegedly made by the defendant and which precipitated the defendant’s actions should never be tolerated by a civilized society.”
This is a copycat killing of the recent subway shove murder by a devout Muslim who went to mosque everyday. That point was conveniently left out by leftist media and the Islamic supremacists now trying to blame our ads.
I keep finding myself wondering why people can't perceive the difference between a Muslim , Hindu or a Sikh.
I would imagine there are an awful lot of uneducated people out there who don't even have a clue of what Hinduism is, let alone Sikh.
Ban all the subways!
Pastorius is right. Ignorance is not prerogative of the dark side ... There is a lot on this side too. Otherwise, why would we be called racist, Islamophobes, etc?
Look at what Pamela has to go through every day!
It is, Virendra. But unfortunately, Hinduism is very far from the consciousness of the average American.
Historically Hinduism and Islam would be pretty close.
However Hinduism has changed a lot (still they have a lot of despicable practices).
Sikhism came out of combining both Islam and Hinduism. Except they mostly focused on peaceful parts of the Quran.
So it is pretty naive when one says Hinduism and Islam are worlds apart.
Still it does not excuse the stupidity of this woman. And it does not make the Hindus responsible for acts of terror committed by Muslims.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I do think Hinduism and Islam are extremely different.
Hinduism does treat women as property. Widows are, essentially asked to off themselves, by walking out into the forest with no sustenance, to die.
But, Hindu women certainly are not tied up in Burqas the way Muslim women are.
From what I know, Hindu culture does not specialize in killing gays, apostates, or adulterers either.
I am guessing that all that happens in some Hindu places, just as it happens in all primitive areas around the world, but it is not by decree, that I know of.
From what I know, most HIndu violence throughout the ages has been either land conquest (which is typical of all cultures) or has been in retaliation SPECIFICALLY AGAINST MUSLIMS.
Like I said, correct me if I am wrong.
Hinduism is the progenitor of Buddhism, in the same way as Judaism is the progenitor of Christianity.
In many ways, Hinduism is the most sophisticated of all man's religions.
I believe, however, that Christianity (as represented by the historical tradition, the Cathechism, and the Catholic Canon) is the most developed. But, that is just my opinion.
I also think Judaism is very developed.
Buddhism is a recipe for a relatively peaceful life, but it does not make for a creative society (imo).
Still, these are the four world religions which are worth something. All have proven they can change and grow with the times. All provide the framework and pedagogical and epistemological backdrop of reasonably healthy societies.
I would not be so quick to lump Hinduism in with Islam.
And, by the way, the Caste System is an abomination, but it is falling by the way side as India develops.
You are partially right. Like I said in the beginning Hinduism has changed a lot. And that is because the people rejected the crazy practices enshrined in Hinduism and moved forward.
I am not aware of widows being asked to go without sustenance and die, although I don't doubt it because I am aware of the tradition of Sati where the widow is burned alongside the newly deceased husband.
Buddhism was a rejection of a lot of Hindu practices like the caste system whereas Christianity was supposed to be an integral part of Judaism (which of course never happened).
When I said Islam and Hinduism were closer than many think I meant the historical Hinduism...that is not to say that Hindus haven't changed a lot. And that is not to say that Hindus and Muslims are alike.
As Indians get more educated they get rid of their idiotic practices but it was Hindu extremists who went into clubs in India not so long ago and started beating up women for being "immoral".
That's all I was saying.
Just so its clear. I think the woman is a moron. Hindus should not have to pay for what Muslims did or do and neither should the Sikhs.
Ok, I get it.
But to be fair, I think we have to add the idea that there are very good reasons why Hinduism, Christianity, and Judaism have grown out of their more primitive ideas.
Unlike Islam, these other religions do not believe their oldest scriptures are the final end-all/be-all of revelation. The work of the individual is counted as contributing to the greater good. "God" and "man" are in partnership, things change.
Oh, and by the way, I did not mean that widows are still treated the same way as they used to be under Hinduism. I do not think that is true at all.
I know Sati is practiced still however both the Indian government and the educated populace of India are constantly fighting against the practice.
Buddhism (minus the nonsense) along with Science would be the perfect society. Buddhism dosnt claim to having an eternal heaven . The Buddhist heven is the realization that suffering dosnt end.
