Muslim Boy Calls Out, "Heil Hitler" To My Daughter At School Today

For the last few weeks, she had been telling me about her new Muslim friend at school. She really seemed to like the kid. And, to my mind, that is a good thing, as I would truly like us all to get along with each other, if at all possible.

She mentioned that he told her Islam was the same as Christianity, because "we believe in Jesus too," but he had not pressed the issue much. She asked me if what he said is true. I told her that the Jesus that Muslims believe in did not die on the cross for our sins, so he really isn't the same Jesus.

I asked her if her friend was nice, and she said, "Yes," so I told her that is what really matters. If people are kind, it doesn't really matter what religion they are. What really matters is behavior. But, I cautioned her never to argue with him about religion, because it simply is not worth it.

Anyway, today my daughter and some of her friends were discussing another friend of theirs, and she mentioned that the boy was Jewish.

According to my daughter, the Muslim boy's response to this bit of news was to call out, "Heil Hitler."

To which my daughter tells me she replied, "Hey dude, my Grandfather is Jewish."

I asked her how her Muslim friend reacted, and she said she didn't know because she turned her back and walked away from him.

I only wish we could simply turn away from this problem. But, we really can't, can we?

Pastorius,

That's very Scary. Let her know to stay as far away from that kid as possible, and to never mention Islam around him. Than let her know that you will do what you can to deal with the issue.

I haven't yet decided what the best course of action might be.

Pastorius,

I think you should talk to the school board.

i have listened to the whole audio book... this guy is great..

please tell your kids to stay the hell away from those slaving, murdering maggots. they steal and sell children as slaves..

i was in an Islamic republic in '73 they had open slave markets in the streets.. today child sex slaves sell for $1000 to $1500 in Yemen. they Wholesale for ~$200

Pastorius,

Your daughter is a great kid. And I agree with Damien that you really should talk to the school board.

Hi Pastorius.
First i would say i completely agree with Damian.Advise your daughter to stay away from him and avoid the question of religion all together. It's not right to run but in her case it's prudent these people are indoctrinated from day one to hate non Muslims ,Jews especially. On the other hand he confirms again that "Islam is the religion of peace."

Experiencing similar circumstances here on the east coast with my own eleven yr. old befriending two muslims in school, I await the inevitable conversations about faith similarities/differences which should be underway any day now that the social studies classes are covering the middle east and far east. Should the conversation direct itself in a similar "heil Hitler" direction, I guarantee the entire school district will be abundantly aware of a potential problem that no amount of 'sensitivity training' is going to $$$ufficiently address .
Given the context of the event your daughter heard the phrase directed towards her group, there is no circumstance which would warrant it not go reported to the school, the muslim boys parents, school board, as well as giving a heads up to classmates parents, and local rabbi's and msm editorial pages. Don't let this slide.

I'd start by going to the principal.

Follow protocol -- school itself, then further up the ladder.

If you have more than one to confirm the uttering of "Heil Hitler," you'll get more attention from the administration.

Well, that was a sad way for your daughter to learn the truth about her "nice friend", but cheers to her for reacting appropriately.

So depressing -- I grew up in mixed Christian/Jewish city with shared facilities (I practically lived at the YM/YWHA) and holiday celebrations and it was just great. The damn muslims are now doing everything they can to tear that sort of thing apart.

I'm not sure my daughter has any clue as to the depth of the hatred she has encountered.

I'm sure she doesn't know its depth but I'm also sure that, being a bright kid as she is (just considering her answer), she imagines that there is something not right.

I would also go to the school, specially after she has said that her grandfather was also jewish.

The problem here is the hate. These poor children have been bred within it and, despite hope is the last thing to lose, with the education these children are receiving, it's not very probable they change their views in the future. In fact, the opposite (a radicalization in those views) is much more probable...

Alright, a couple of things.

One, I am not surprised at all. I grew up thinking that and believing that sort of stuff. The child of course is innocent but that's what they grow up hearing and believing.

Two, its great to teach your kids to live peacefully side by side with fellow human beings but you really have to be careful with Muslims, even if they're kids. I don't know how you would teach your daughter to be careful around someone who's a Muslim without getting her to hate Muslims wherever she sees them (which shouldn't be the case at all). I don't know because I am no parent, I'm sure you know how to do that though.

Three, go to the principal and the school board but before you do, figure out who you'd go to if the first one doesn't listen to you so you have all tracks covered, otherwise you will be stuck with the title "Islamophobic" and no one at your daughter's school is going to listen to you. And that's a situation you don't want to leave your daughter with.

Four, your daughter sounds not only smart but brave but just like Damien said, advise her to stay away from that kid and other Muslim kids for now at least. "Heil Hitler" is taken very lightly in Islamic societies. Hitler is actually hailed as a hero that couldn't finish the glorious undertaking because of Zionists/Christians. However, Muslims don't like to know that you are connected to or pro-Jewish in anyway.

Just my thoughts on this. Again, not surprised at all.

AA and Claudia,
Thanks for the advice and encouragement.

Time to build a giant star of david on someone's lawn and for the neighbor's to sing 'hatikvah' and Yerushalyim Shel Zachav.

Then invite them out for a halal barbecue.
