You know, what's really fucked up is how we've been conditioned to think of Russia threatening Ukraine, or China threatening the Philippines, as some how our business.
Yeah, they testing Biden's meddle, but it was foolish of us to suggest to the Ukraine or the Philippines that we has their back. They both live near nations that are more powerful than they are. Its their problem to deal with their neighbors ..... not ours.
There's no real national security risk to the US if Russia takes over the Russian majority Eastern Ukraine. Thats an internal issue for them. And I dont give a fuck who harvests the resources in the south China Sea. We have no national security interests in that squabble either.
I dont remember seeing our Ukrainian and Philippine allies helping us out much in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Its just this whole World's Policemen mentality that's a drag. All this Arsenal Of Democracy indoctrination bullshit we've been fed all our lives ..... it certainly hasn't made us any friends. They use us, or more specifically our inflated self-image, to drag us into their problems. And we're too proud of ourselves to tell them to fuck off.
Its hard to get behind our China is our enemy mentality when we let them stock our Walmart shelves with their trinkets. Try to find something in Walmart made in the Ukraine or The Philippines.
I dont know, maybe if we let the relationships between hostile nations just play out without our involvement, maybe the results would win us more real allies than pretending to have their backs does.
Call us when we need to come in and kill everyone, not when we have stand between 2 opposing sides and direct traffic with our whistle.
We're really not that successful at killing everyone.
All we are really good at is invading, occupying, and creating terrorist armies, and walls to keep them out, so we can maintain our occupying forces.
In other words, creating huge budgets for sustaining those occupying forces, and to sustain the corporations who feed them, house them, administrate them, and keep them in weapons.
