Obama Ridicules McCain For Labeling Him A Socialist

From MyWay:

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Barack Obama accused Republican rival John McCain on Wednesday of stooping to low tactics by labeling the Democrat a socialist. "I don't know what's next," Obama, the presidential candidate, said at an outdoor rally in North Carolina. "By the end of the week, he'll be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten. I shared my peanut butter and jelly sandwich."

Just for the record, sharing one's peanut butter sandwich is called altruism.

The definition of a Communist is a person who believes it is the government's responsibility to legislate economic parity for it's citizens.

As Karl Marx said, "From each, according to his ability; to each, according to his need."

This is what Obama was calling for in this interview:

The American project is based upon that the individual is a free entity who owns the work of his hands. The government is not supposed to be able to take the work of your hands away from you in an arbitrary fashion. And, anytime the government does help itself to the work of you hands, it is a clear imposition on your Liberty.

So, vote for Obama if you want the government to take your stuff, if not, vote for McCain, even if you don't like him.

why is it (or how have I missed it?) that the "fact" (?) that Obama IS a socialist is not mentioned.

What happened to the photo and news releases in Chicago about Barack being part of the New Party, which is socialist?

He may not be card carrying today, but if was elected, with 4 other members. This is all over the web; but did I miss the 'snopes hoax' on it?

Isn't it legitimate to say that Barack WAS a member of the New Party. aka Socialist.

How is this getting missed?
