20,000 Surface-to-Air Missiles Missing in Libya

U.S. officials had once thought there was little chance that terrorists could get their hands on many of the portable surface-to-air missiles that can bring down a commercial jet liner.
But now that calculation is out the window, with officials at a recent secret White House meeting reporting that thousands of them have gone missing in Libya.
I agree with Reliapundit's take on this:

Authorities in the ex-Soviet republic of Moldova are hunting the alleged Russian mastermind of a failed plan to sell weapons-grade uranium on the black market, a new US Senate report said Tuesday.
AFP reported in June that Moldova police had arrested six suspects and seized a sample of Uranium-235 in a sting that thwarted a potential customer, described by a top official as "a citizen of a Muslim country in Africa."
But the report by staff for Senator Richard Lugar, the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, includes the alarming charge that the group also claimed to possess plutonium, far less of which is needed to make a bomb....
The only thing this admin has achieved was to kill Bin Laden, and have Adm Mullen finally fess up on Pakistan and the ISI.
From the Olympics debacle (which foreshadowed both in style and result all that followed) to the Stimulus bills, to Frank-Dodd, and on and on each step has caused a dramatic worsening of BOTH US and world security, but for those mentioned above, as the American people's welfare and happiness have become ENDANGERED by the ideology of this group of political class, academic, social justice, the opposition is evil MORONS.
I am desperate to see these people out of power and the mere mention of suspending elections by the metamoron gov of NC has every hair on my body on end.
They are a DANGER to the republic.

Who's to say it would be a jetliner over the Med? They could just as easily take one down as it flies from NY to FL.
