Sri Lanka: Two major alleged Easter bombing suspects arrested
Two suspects, wanted in connection for the bombings on Easter Sunday, were arrested in the Nawalapitya area of Sri Lanka on Sunday. Footage shows the Sri Lankan military, who performed the arrest, searching the shoe store where the suspects were hiding.
The suspects were identified as Mohamed Saadik Abdul Haq and Mohamed Saahid Abdul Haq, brothers of two of the alleged bombers, according to officials.
At least 253 people were killed and a further 450 were injured on April 21, in eight seemingly coordinated explosions which rocked hotels and churches across the country.
Six blasts took place in the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo while two further explosions occurred in the western city of Negombo and the eastern city of Batticaloa.
