Annapolis: Bush Calls For An End To Israeli Terrorism

George Bush's moral compass is broken, and now he's wandering around in the wilderness along with the rest of the world's leaders (from Atlas Shrugs):

Bush has lost his mind and his moral compass. This statement is an outrage. A lie and a blood libel. Israel has never committed any acts of terrorism. What a tool of Islamic jihad. Based on that, Bush is a terrorist, anyone that defends himself, his family, his country is a terrorist. This is a sad sad day.

"We express our determination to bring an end to bloodshed, suffering and decades of conflict between our peoples; to usher in a new era of peace, based on freedom, security, justice, dignity, respect and mutual recognition; to propagate a culture of peace and nonviolence; to confront terrorism and incitement, whether committed by Palestinians or Israelis," the statement said here.

Meanwhile, Abbas has called for Jerusalem to be handed over to the Palestinians.

I give up. I just bloody GIVE UP!
We're stuffed, people when the President of the USA can come out with this shit.
No apologies for the language--profanity is the only reasonable response to this.

I come home from work, and I see this submission from GWB? ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!

I guess, to be fair to him, he means that Israel is guilty of incitement, not necessarily terrorism.

But, I don't feel like reading his fucking diplomatic tea leaves at this point. He ought to spell out what he fucking means. He is well aware of how much anti-semitic bullshit is going around.

That was very irresponsible of him.

Learn some reading comprehension. He said "terrorism or incitement" as a qualifier. I'm pro-Israel, but they sure as hell have been guilty of "incitement."

in the words of stephen, in the movie braveheart:

Stephen: [to William, while under fire from English archers at Stirling] "The Lord tells me he can get *me* out of this mess, but He's pretty sure you're fucked."

pardon me for not bleeping out the "f" word, but sometimes it seems apropos profanitese.

anon - how has israel been guilty of "incitement"? would i be guilty of the same if i shot an intruder in my own home? you are baiting the guests with that statement.

G-d be with u.s. and may He help u.s. - we are about to come under judgement.

Nanc,

I agree with the idea you are espousing; that God curses those who curse Israel. However, I would wait to see how this plays out.

It doesn't look promising.

I'd say, it looks like we're in trouble.

pastorius - i have to believe that EVERY word of the Lord is true - i'm not a zealot, just someone who believes what my Father has spoken through the prophets.

one cannot believe only a portion of scripture.

we've removed him from every aspect of our nation - allowing the minorities to prevail against everything good.

we are coming under judgement and i believe it will be soon.

look at our economy, the dollar; the pride; the crime.

and now this! a president who claims to be a G-dfearing man of faith? we voted for him, but we are as disappointed as we can be. and trying to explain it to our children has become a nightmare - they are conservative christians.

we've had to remind them to not put too much faith in a person as they'll usually be disappointed. they're learning to develop a tough hide.

our blessings as a nation are all but gone and this event is the deal sealer, imho.

I am not being clear. I think you misunderstand me.

I am not saying I don't think we will be punished if we curse Israel. What I am saying is we don't yet know how the Conference will play out.

It could be that Bush has some interesting strategy up his sleeve.

It doesn't look good, though.
