Mr. President Elect just got a shtf report from the Intelligence community, filled with all the usual suspects and a gloomy picture:
National Intelligence Council report: sun setting on the American century
The next two decades will see a world living with the daily threat of nuclear war, environmental catastrophe and the decline of America as the dominant global power, according to a frighteningly bleak assessment by the US intelligence community.
“The world of the near future will be subject to an increased likelihood of conflict over resources, including food and water, and will be haunted by the persistence of rogue states and terrorist groups with greater access to nuclear weapons,” said the report by the National Intelligence Council, a body of analysts from across the US intelligence community.
The analysts said that the report had been prepared in time for Barack Obama’s entry into the Oval office on January 20, where he will be faced with some of the greatest challenges of any newly elected US president.
“The likelihood that nuclear weapons will be used will increase with expanded access to technology and a widening range of options for limited strikes,” the 121-page assessment said.
The analysts draw attention to an already escalating nuclear arms race in the Middle East and anticipate that a growing number of rogue states will be prepared to share their destructive
technology with terror groups. “Over the next 15-20 years reactions to the decisions Iran makes about its nuclear programme could cause a number of regional states to intensify these efforts and consider actively pursuing nuclear weapons,” the report Global Trends 2025 said. “This will add a new and more dangerous dimension to what is likely to be increasing competition for influence within the region,” it said.

Lets hope the national intelligence Council Report is wrong, and do every thing in our power to see to it that its predictions don't come true.
Cow-nt on it. Ok, I'll stop.
Well, my experience in life, and I'm in my mid-forties, is that whenever people bet against America, they lose.
Unfortunately nothing lasts forever including America. We can't just write this report off since those that have bet against America in the past have tended to be wrong. They may only need to be right once. We need to work hard to make sure the reports predictions don't come to pass.
Damien -- I think that's what all 3 of us are saying in our own way. America cab get lazy & conplacent, then someone gives us a kick in the ass, takes us to the mat. But we have ALWAYS risen to it gave them a Pa. Dutch (or region of your choice) ass whoopin' and lived on. SOme punk always wants to take on the quick draw, and gets it handed to him. It will happen again and we'll fight and prevail again. We can't help it. It's in our DNA. (Wish I could same the same of our "leaders" in D.C.) The smart money's always on the champ, always on America. We just need to whoop this champ back into shape. Quick.
