I don't know why we WOULDN'T have female Rabbis serving as Chaplains. It seems a good idea to me.
I have a female friend who is a Methodist Pastor. She's one of the better Pastors I have encountered.
And Jews who are serious about their religion usually know the Bible better than Christians who are serious about their religion.
