Michael Savage is calling the Colorado "election" rigged.

Rush is trying to defend it.

Now, what happened in Colorado is, I'm sorry to say, it's not a trick.  What happened in Colorado is right out in the open.  Everybody's known how Colorado runs its affairs.  Everybody has known.  Nobody just chose to look at it.  It's no secret that Colorado was gonna have a convention and they're gonna choose their delegates before the primary.  It's not a secret.  It's just nobody leaked it.  Nobody talked about it.  Nobody bragged about it.  So it was left to be discovered by people who didn't know.  And it turns out that people on the Trump campaign didn't know.
Now, I can understand how they might feel tricked here.  I can understand how they might feel bugabooed because millions of votes, theoretically, are gonna happen that aren't going to count.  Hey, welcome to establishment politics.  We have played for you the sound bites on this program of delegates -- I'm sorry -- of officials, rules committee officials.  We played the sound bite of one of these guys that said, "Hey, what you all have to understand is the people don't select our nominee; the delegates do, we do."  None of this is a mystery.  This is the definition of insider versus outsider.  This is a classic illustration of how an outsider has to learn the insider game to play it.
Every business has its rules and laws, bylaws, and specific ways that you have to climb the ladder of success.  In addition to that, people that run the club -- in this case, the Republican establishment -- are not gonna sit idly by and let a bunch of outsiders, the peasants with pitch forks, however you want to visualize them, they're just not gonna sit idly by and let people come in and take it.  It's too valuable.  In most cases this is how all of these people value themselves.  This is from which they derive their self-worth, is their membership in this club.
So I don't see Ted Cruz lying and cheating his way to the convention.  I see a lot of hard work.  I see some people who know what they have to do, given where they are.  They're in second place in both the vote count and the delegate count.  They're serious about winning.  The Cruz team is serious about winning.  They have made themselves fully aware of how the process works, and they've been out working it for quite a while.  They went into Louisiana where Trump scored a massive win but they've come out of there with many more delegates than, by appearances, they should have.
While it may be true that it has happened this way for some time until this election nobody really noticed because it never really mattered since by now the nominee would already have been winnowed by the primaries.

Rush likes to come off as a defender of the people, exposing the lies of the government, looking out for us when in fact this lays bare that he is nothing but a bloviating hypocritical overinflated gasbag and as much part and parcel of the GOPe problem as the rest of them.

So to say it's okay that all these voters in Colorado (and elsewhere if it goes to a second or third ballot) are nullified is okay and fine and fair flies in the face of everything Rush Revere -- oops, Limbaugh, sorry -- claims he AND THIS NATION stands for and believes in.

And at the root of that is this, in case he or anyone else needs a reminder:

That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.


THAT is the genesis, bedrock and cornerstone of a once and still free people. It is part of our DNA, in the blood boiling in our veins right now.

And those that would be condescending to us, marginalize us as if we were too ignorant to know how to care for our own interests, chastise us as if we were idle indolent (INSOLENT!) schoolchildren, would do well to reacquaint (or maybe just acquaint for the first time) themselves with the text and it's meaning.

But since they won't. well, then it's time for them to go.

All of them.

Every single one of them.

Because we've been down this road before.

Of course it's rigged. All power structures are rigged by the people who pay attention and play the game. Rush may be pissing people off with his support for Cruz and seeming fear of Trump, I get that part, but he is correct.

If you want to stop this, or at least not be surprised by it, you have to stay engaged. And best to do so at the local level where it's possible to make a difference in real time. But mostly we don't bother. We have better things to do. Until we don't.

Yeah but Rush was also supporting Rubio.

Everyone has a price and I have a feeling the GOPe figured out a while ago what Rush's was.
