Alon Liel condones 2-state propaganda, plus the UK parliament's support for that

A leftist Israeli politician named Alon Liel, former ambassador to South Africa, has voiced his support for 2-state "solutions" in none other than the UK Independent, and says "true friends" of Israel will support it too, like some of the worst politicians you can find in the House of Commons. One of the most offensive lies in his op-ed is:
Mahmoud Abbas has repeatedly demonstrated his commitment to the two-state solution, and his adherence to nonviolence.
Yes, do tell us all about it. Any chance Liel would care to explain this recent case where Fatah, Abbas' movement, threatened to turn Tel Aviv into a fireball? Even Abbas' recent threat of a "political war" is an eyebrow raiser. There's also his recent threat to end security cooperation with Israel. Obviously, Liel's turned his back on these cases deliberately. At the end, he says:
Tomorrow, the British Parliament will vote on a bill that proposes the recognition of a Palestinian state. Such recognition will not harm Israeli interests. On the contrary, only the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state will ensure the continued existence of the sovereign state of Israel along the green line, and will save us from our ongoing deterioration down the slippery slope of apartheid.
I'm sure he's saying this deliberately too, and knows quite well it's not true. It's already harmed Israeli interests by providing a safe zone for terrorists, and will continue to do so, plus give them the chance to set up more rocket smuggling. Anyone who thinks it's not possible is as delusional as Liel is. Say, and why do I get the feeling he sees nothing with say, the Koran's verses condoning child-marriage?
