Boyfriend of Dallas Nurse Reportedly Admitted with Ebola Symptoms

This is just sad.
An email sent out to the Alcon staff by its CEO reportedly said that the ebola nurse’s boyfriend was admitted into hospital with “Ebola-like symptoms.”
Gotnews.com has received word from two different Alcon employees, both of whom asked not to be identified. Alcon’s U.S. headquarters are in Fort Worth, Texas.

BIDMC patient, Logan passengers all Ebola free
A man first suspected of having symptoms consistent with Ebola has now been ruled Ebola-free.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was being held, released the following statement Monday night, "As you are aware, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center accepted in transfer on Sunday evening a patient who had reported traveling from Liberia. Our evaluation is now complete and we have determined with certainty the patient does not have Ebola Virus Disease. The patient remains in good condition."

The Boston Public Health Commission also said in a statement Monday night that the passengers transported from Logan International Airport to various Boston hospitals this afternoon do not have Ebola.

BPHC said, "After discussions with out partner hospitals Boston Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital, the Boston Public Health Commission's Infectious Disease Bureau has determined that the patients who arrived on United Emirates Flight No. 237 at Logan International Airport do not meet the criteria for any infections of public health concern, including Ebola, MERS or meningococcal infection."

If this is not a rumor, the epidemic has started -- particularly if the man was working up to the point of illness.

I agree with an epidemic label as a possibility. But at this point, so many people will be tracked, exhibit with symptoms that may mimic but not confirm Ebola, that all reports remain unconfirmed until verified by the CDC.

Probability? We have a new chain of transmission from the boyfriend of the Dallas nurse.
