Jesus Christ and Murder

Why am I not outraged by this? Why do I not issue death threats and want to cut people's heads off for this?

Maybe because it is nothing but a cartoon!!

I'll give you another reason. I am not angered because I think it is a legitimate criticism. It is a common misconception/lie of the Left that George Bush uses his Christian faith as a reason to go to war. He doesn't. However, some Christians do, and thus, the t-shirt depicted is a good criticism, and a good check in a Democracy.

People need to be allowed to do these things.

Jee, it doesn't bother me BECAUSE it's so obviously untrue. Perhaps a thousand years ago, but I don't hold what happened a thousand years ago against the present population anymore than I hold WWII against the Germans or the Japanese.

Which is one BIG difference between Christians and Muslims. Muslims NEVER forget and NEVER forgive. They're still PO'd at Jacob for tricking Esau out of his birthright.... almost 4000 years ago.

Furthermore, any shinanigins Christians have done throughout history, can easily be shown as the works of evil-doers (not Christians) since their actions do not line up with the New Testament.

Sooo, I'm not offended. I see it simply as the work of an ignorant fool. Probably a liberal.

There is quite a discussion going on-- about the cartoons and free speech-- on Flickr. If you are interested, it is in "The Right to Free Speech" Group. (Click on the picture of Mohammed with the two men attacking the man reading.

If you are not signed up for Flickr and wish to sign up., it only takes a minute or two and is free. (scroll down to bottom right)
