More Cartoon Tantrums

The losers of the Al-Aqsa Brigades threw an anti-Danish hissy-fit in Nablus.
Dozens of al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades members held a demonstration against Denmark Sunday at the main square in the West Bank town of Nablus, shouted anti-Danish slogans and threatened to harm Danish targets located in the West Bank and Gaza.
This makes sense. Obviously the biggest problem facing the West Bank Arabs is Danish newspaper cartoons. Likewise in Saudi Arabia and the other Mohammadean nations that have protested again these drawings in a small country in northern Europe.

Such touchy people. So easily insulted. It's not that they are thin-skinned. It's like they have no skin at all.

I invite all infidel bloggers to create your own cartoons and post them wherever possible. If 12 sketches in a Danish newspaper can cause such a global reaction, how about a worldwide network of hundreds of cartoons. There's no need to be obscene; remember most of the Danish cartoons were simple depictions of Muhammad. (Theoretically any image of the Mo-man is somekind of bad mojo in Islam.) I'll find my sketchbook and a pencil and post my effort later today.

I find myself in a particularly uncomfortable postion here on this topic.

For those inclined, please click on my blog and download and spread as you will Derek's graphic of Mohammed. By spreading the graphic and bringing it to the public's attention, we might thereby force the Islamic hand: they can try to boycott the entire world, but all they'll do is succeed in starving to death that much sooner.

Derek's graphic is gratuitiously coarse and provokative. It's only purpose is to offend Muslim sensibilities. That works for me. It doesn't work for other.

My first pictures are not gratuitous or obscene. I don't want to take the easy route of drawing obviously inflamatory images. Nothing pornographic for example. The goal I think is to find the middle ground of pictures that will inflame Islamists but which middle America will view as merely part of the give and take of our culture. If we go too far and create gruesome anti-Islam porn then everyone will turn away.
