Photographic Proof...

...of Insurance Notice I Received Today (NOT Health Insurance):

We are receiving a $58 rebate on the 2014-2015 premium we paid about 10 days ago.

Has anybody else reading this blog post received any similar information about changes in policy coverage?

Getting ready - aren't we.

... even if "accidental".

We've had nuclear weapons for 60 years now and never has a single one gone off accidentally.

What are they worried about?

My guess is, the government intends to blame any nuclear attack on our nation on an accident.

Wow, what a thought. That would be some serious "workplace violence" wouldn't it.

Suppose a "jihadi work accident" occurs at the house next door. I can't get any reimbursement for damages to my home?

What I'm trying to find out: Are changes to insurance policies happening industry-wide?

Terrorism Risk Insurance Act:

The Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) is a United States federal law signed into law by President George W. Bush on November 26, 2002. The Act created a federal "backstop" for insurance claims related to acts of terrorism. The Act "provides for a transparent system of shared public and private compensation for insured losses resulting from acts of terrorism." The Act was originally set to expire December 31, 2005, was extended for two years in December 2005, and was extended again on December 26, 2007. The current law, under the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act, is set to expire on December 31, 2014.

here's that link I was saying please listen to and say what you think-a general was spoken of as saying something about 2017 in it, as well as the secret implant requirement in the health care act.

LL,
I'm going to do everything I can to find out if industry-wide notices are going out.

Will let you know in a private communication what I think of the video.

Seems pretty clear the insurance companies have decided based on actuarial objectivity (for what that's worth) that THEY cannot survive claims in the event of a dirty weapon. Suppose a blast of 500lbs of semtex coated by radiological waste occurred someplace like Manassas. Insurance companies are not taking a chance that this event, far more likely than an actual nuke, CAN HAPPEN, MIGHT HAPPEN, IS SOMEWHAT LIKELY to HAPPEN (as much as an earthquake) and must take action to reduce their risk.

MORE and unmentioned, is that INSURRECTION, CIVIL WAR, etc, is also ruled out as claimable.

THINK ABOUT THAT and what I just said

Epa,
Clause 3.5 is definitely something that I've never seen specifically ridered out on an insurance policy.

Do most people ever read their insurance policies in their entirety, or do they merely trust the insurance salesman?

I have always read my policies for myself.
