Soros again, points to america as the problem in the world - in the Wall Street Journal

In perfect consonance with his public statements in Newsweek and other places the canard that is the american agenda (i.e., freedom) which endangers the world , and the the USA stands in the way of justice in the world - "the United States has become an obstacle to a stable and just world" Mr. Soros, on today's WSJ demonstrates exactly why the democratic party stands at the edge of disaster.

He rejects fighting aginst those who use terror, and avoids entirely WHY the fight even exists

First, war by its very nature creates innocent victims. A war waged against terrorists is even more likely to claim innocent victims because terrorists tend to keep their whereabouts hidden. The deaths, injuries and humiliation of civilians generate rage and resentment among their families and communities that in turn serves to build support for terrorists.

Thus, in a perfect imitation of Hamlet, he, as do all democrats, apparently, demand that war be perfect, or not fought. This less than intelligent path to cultural demise does not even mention Sayd Qutb, who was certainly no victim of american bombs. Moreover, perhaps Mr. Soros would like to speak with the descendants of Nantes, La Rochelle, or Lorient where thousands of Allied bombs fell in WW2, on the French. Ignored completely is the fact of the 1400 year old document and it's meaning for those who begin this day everywhere inimical to all we stand for, and all we hold dear. Ignored is that there is NOTHING we can do to alter this.

Second, terrorism is an abstraction. It lumps together all political movements that use terrorist tactics. Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Sunni insurrection and the Mahdi army in Iraq are very different forces, but President Bush's global war on terror prevents us from differentiating between them and dealing with them accordingly. It inhibits much-needed negotiations with Iran and Syria because they are states that support terrorist groups.

For Iran we are the head of the 'world of arrogance' and the great satan. We cannot 'negotiate' (in fact negotiate what?) with those who see us this way or find common ground with a group who sees armgeddon as a tool to bring about a hidden messiah so that all of us will be slain or become like them.
