I love love love Keith Jarrett.

This is a fantastic song to learn chord changes, which meander through minor fourths to major fourths. It is one of my favorite songs, too. Another good one is Green Dolphin Street, just for learning basic chord progression.

Jewel,
What's your favorite Keith Jarrett album? I'll show you mine, if you show me yours.

;-)

It is the Box set Setting Standards....but I really am in love with his various oldies standards albums. I was really into him in my youth, along with Chick Corea, Mel Lewis and Maynard Ferguson, but the older, more introspective Jarrett is sublime.

I do like his standards, but the Live Solo Piano Improvisations are my favorites. In particular, I like the Vienna Concert, because the 42 minute piece that begins the album has a symphonic form to it which is absolutely sublime.

One of these days, I'm going to buy myself the Sun Bear Concerts.

of course your fucking honky ass only likes white jazz, once again, you're a closet faggot.

Is Keith Jarret white? I'm not so sure about that.

Certainly, his drummer, Jack DeJohnette (my favorite drummer, by the way) is black.

By the way, my Anonymous friend, did you know that Keith Jarrett played in Miles Davis' band in the late 60's and early 70's? Miles was hardly one to tolerate white bullshit.
