The Mistake Of Multiculturalism

Allah at Hot Air links to New Sisyphus who has the transcript of a speech on multiculturalism which Mark Steyn delivered last week in Australia.

It provides for a very interesting read. He is, of course, right on the money. Multiculturalism has been a mistake and it's time to do something about it: immigrants are welcome, but they must assimilate. They choose to live here, in the West, thus they must assimilate.
Their culture isn't 'better' than ours, nor is it 'equal'. If it were, we could just as well do away with democracy and our Judeo-Christian legacy and live like they do in for instance Iran, Saudi Arabia, andsoforth, andsoforth.

Now, if you excuse me, I'll be checking Pastorius' "babe of the week" post out.

Heh. I hope you like this weeks babe.

Hey, I was actually just talking on this subject with my wife. I was telling her about how the other day someone at work was saying to me that she knows people who use Mexican healthcare. I said, well yeah, because you can get prescription drugs cheaper there, and the care is cheaper. She said, and its better.

Without batting an eye I told her, "no, nothing is better there. They don't do anything of significance better."

Now, I'm sure someone can tell me of this or that thing that Mexico does better, but it will be, at best, a precise area of specialty, or it will be cultural, like a form of music, or lacing, or something like that.

Certainly, Mexico does not do healthcare better. They don't do education better. They don't do money better. They don't do government services better. They don't do innovation better.

We know these things to be true. Study the numbers.

We have to put a stop to the multiculti BS. That means that people like you and I have to start having the guts to tell the truth in public places.

Now, theoretically I could get fired for what I said. Or someone could bring a suit against my company for racial harrassment or something. therefore, I don't recommend everyone do this at work like me.

But do it in public places. Don't be afraid to be called a racist. This has nothing to do with race. It is about culture, and it is about how our countries are set up in the West. We are set up to innovate, and we are set up to produce and educate. These are great and noble things.

Countries like Mexico were set up by thugs who have a long tradition of looting the nations coffers. That is disgusting and we should say so.

Yes, it's way past time to speak up and in public forums.

I have the advantage of being self-employed, so I can't be fired. But I can speak out without fear of losing my job. Otherwise, I don't think I could sleep at night.

Mike Jerico has a wonderful (and angry) post up at A Western Heart about the war in Iraq.
I reckon he's spot-on. Worth reading.

Yes, we do need to "ban" Islam from the West, by revealing religion's evil roots: blind faith, childish fantasy, and altruism.

The Ayn Rand Institute has some excellent articles on multiculturalism:

We must destroy terrorist sponsoring states by any means necessary, asap.

We need to be proud of what makes us Westerners (ideologically): reason, secularism, and individual rights, not primarily democracy (democracy is mob rule, we want republics).

We really do not have a "Judeo-Christian legacy". America was founded based on the ideas of the Enlightenment, a movement against religion.

Theocracies have a religious background, not constitutional republics. They have backgrounds on individual rights that are based on reason and man's nature.

You said: We really do not have a "Judeo-Christian legacy". America was founded based on the ideas of the Enlightenment, a movement against religion.

This is a great debate. Some of the Framers were deists, but others were Christians; the reason believing Christians such as the Danbury Baptists favored the deists' idea of church-state separation was they wanted to avoid government-sponsored sectarian persecution. And on the other side of the coin, the deist rulers of the early US had no problem embarking on the now-considered "Christian" fight against Islamic aggression (at that time: Muslim pirates from the shores of Tripoli).

But our times are a bit different. Secularist supporters of the fight against Islam do exist, but they're of small numbers, because secular sentiment favors the rationalist folly, according to which all humans are the same in craving only material gains and therefore capable of being satisfied by them. Those secularists who do support the war against Islam are the few who have thought it over and come to the conclusion that Islamic irrationalism is far more dangerous than Judeo-Christian irrationalism. But they are few. Most of the people in the USA, and Europe too, who are of a clear mind as to the Islamic threat are Bible-believers. And they're also better participants in the demographic war.

It's not that secularists aren't welcome to this war, it's just that most of them have made the choice to be on the other side.

Steyn is awesome! There's so many things in that speech I'm going to steal...

Altruism???????

Islam lacks altruism. It is the only relgion NOT founded on the Golden Rule ("Do not do to another what would be hurtful to you - the rest is commentary")

If you reject altruism/compassion then Islam is one of three possible belief systems left open to you. The others are Nazism and Satanism.

Multiculti update

Even the British geovernment moonbats, who once classified Chinese as 'black', are finally waking up:

Hey ROP,
Thanks for the link. I really wanted to post that article, but the damn thing is incredibly wordy in a very tricky way where I just couldn't figure out how to cut it down.

I just want you to know that I always appreciate the links you give us.

But the legacy of multiculturalism will be with us for a long time and the Muslims seems quite unperturbed. Here's some more threats of terrorism/civil strife from Bunglawala, who gets quite a heckling from the Graudianistas (are they finally waking up?).

Interesting comments further down on the pak/najis rationale for ethnically cleansing Kuffars.
