We are following the same path, and the results will be a REAL disaster far worse than any number of casualties among our armed forces
Just read this. While I don't think victory is around the corner, tactically Mr. Barnes is right in his description of the path we are on.
However, while many americans want us out, what do we believe will be the result?

How many of us here are old enough to remember the Vietnam War protests? That abomination yesterday had the same sickening atmosphere of gleeful hatred of America and undisguised support for the enemy and the same effing Jane Fonda spouting the same effing crap.
35 years ago a lot of us who refused to go anywhere near those protests still believed the war was against our interests and dividing the country and had to be stopped. We would bring the troops home (to be spat on, but not by us) and whatever happened afterwards would happen "over there" to "them". And it did. Two million dead. And the Leftards could not have cared less. After all, it was all our fault in the first place...
Well, the Fonda bitch is back but this time she and that parade of sewer rats with her are going to bring the war home to US -- our cities, ports, parks, malls, schools -- and the two million or however many it is will be here, not "there".
We've already seen it once. But 5 years is an eternity and most of the fools out there won't see it coming yet again, not until the day they get that cell phone call from their kid being held hostage in some big regional high school, or their spouse screaming at them to turn on the TV because there's a mushroom cloud over Wall Street. Or DC. Or the Port of LA. Or all of them.
Tell them that. Personally, every time you meet one. Don't let them think they are marching arm in arm along the high road. Because on the day this comes back to haunt us, we will need to be able to look them in the eye and say, "We told you so. Now shut the hell up and get behind us or be treated as the traitors that you are."
The Democrats made their "career bid" on the US losing in Iraq, just like they did back in the 70's in Vietnam, and they will do everything in their power to make it happen again.
