Stupid is as Stupid Does ..Why Bush can't respond AT ALL to 'the letter' despite the rising urging

I read this AM here of the Iranians 'asking' for direct talks with the USA, and we should not let them have the 'moral high ground' by not responding to the Ahmadinjead's call to Islam.

This is completely ignorant.
The president of the USA is not a religious leader, nor a moral leader (as recent past presidential history shows clearly). He is strictly a leader elected to prserver, protect and defend the Constitution.

The president should NEVER be in the position of getting into a stupid religious refutation with a racist ignoramus, who cannot make a distinction BETWEEN politics and religion. It's all one thing to him. What is Bush going to say ..'no thanks we officially reject your call to Islam, but lets' talk about your nukes?' or 'Muhammad really had an auditory nerve tumor, so forget it', or 'Jesus words makes muhammad the real shaitan?' or 'you are right, where can I say the Shahada?'

Those saying we should respond just DON'T get it.

"You know, two months ago nobody would believe that Mr. Khamenei and Mr. Ahmadinejad together would be trying to get George W. Bush to begin negotiations," said Saeed Laylaz, a former government official and prominent analyst in Tehran. "This is a sign of changing strategy. They realize the situation is dangerous and they should not waste time, that they should reach out."

Other notable Saeed Laylaz epithets -

“Our sales have more than quadrupled since 1996,” says Saeed Laylaz, assistant manager of sales and marketing for the country’s biggest car maker, Iran Khodro. “Somebody must have money to buy them.”
So why are Iranians complaining? For Laylaz, a supporter of moderate President Mohammad Khatami, popular gripes are a side effect of political reforms.

Flash for you dude ..Khatami (who said about Israel and the USA nothing different from what any of them have said anyway) is not only OUT but his ideas which came to nothing are CRUSHED by the Hojatieh in charge who have their way utterelay and are clearly supported by the Guardian Council, ie Khameinei.

I'm not sure Bush and his Administration understand that 'an invitation to Islam' is the precursor to attacking the infidel. Even if they were told this, they would dismiss it as 'religious talk' and not take it seriously. That is how lost this administration is when understanding Islam.

Utterly brilliant! And quite correct. Taqiyya is designed rather to not be able to be responded to diplomatically. This is particularly true in the case of Bush, who now can't open his mouth without someone calling to "release the hounds". I do, however think that "'Muhammad really had an auditory nerve tumor, so forget it' is a very appropriate response.

It seriously concerns me that, as John says, our Presidential administration, and our media, do not seem to understand the meaning of that letter.

I don't know about you people, but I expect a very rude awakening very soon.

The attack, when it comes, will be HUGE.

Quotes from

"The newspaper has a tape recording of Abbasi when he spoke of Iran's secret plans, which include "a strategy drawn up for the destruction of Anglo-Saxon civilization." To bring this about, Abbasi said, "There are 29 sensitive sites in the U.S. and in the West. We have already spied on these sites and we know how we are going to attack them..."

Also at

These 29 sensitive sites are likely to be power plants, dams, oil refineries, ports, bridges, tunnels etc with possible nukes and dirty bombs in major cities.

We have posted on Abassi's quote several times.

Perhaps it is time to do so again.

Thanks so much for the links.
