Strike three

Nevermind that using sanctions against Japan in 1940-41 'increased' the danger of war, the NYT most recent leaked CIA/intelligence story on increased terrorism dangers as result of Iraq rips it for me.

Only by doing nothing could we have increased the terrorist danger after 9/11 only somewhat, instead of greatly (especially since as it turns out it's PAKISTAN stupid)

When we obliterated the Taliban as a terrorist state, the arabs I talked to every day were going nuts ..calling for heads, the destruction of america blah blah rage and seethe, it's about the gas reserves of afghanistan, the pipelines, UNOCAL blah blah...

We ARE in a world of danger.

We have ALWAYS been in a world of danger, and ONLY the force of arms is the final brutal protection against this. There are other protections, but once a group has conceived that they are better off attacking you than take any other action, it's time for force of arms.

But nevermind this ..WHO INSIDE THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY IS FOLLOWING DANIEL ELLSGBERG'S STUPID CALL FOR THIS?
